Chapter 50: Killing Into the Dense Forest
“Siege crossbow! Bastard!” Old Gao roared angrily, and in the next moment, faint flames appeared in his hand as he punched out fiercely.

With a bang, the massive black shadow resembling a Black Dragon exploded at its tip, sending sparks flying everywhere!

After eighteen punches and eighteen roars, the thirty-foot-long siege crossbow was reduced to just ten feet in length. Old Gao’s back trembled, and he staggered back several steps, finally crashing heavily against the cart.
However, the siege crossbow before him had finally run out of power and fell to the ground, resting against his chest.
The air was filled with a sharp, pungent smell of burnt flames.
Old Gao’s chest heaved rapidly as he breathed heavily, glaring fiercely at the dense forest. The siege crossbow was specially made for the army, designed to break down city gates. To fire it once, at least a hundred strong men with martial power needed to work together to pull back the giant bowstring, allowing them to shoot a decisive arrow!

After a brief silence, a crisp round of applause echoed from the direction of the dense forest. A voice said, “As expected of the Blazing Fire Blade Sect, truly impressive. One strike with a siege crossbow, and the city gate could still be breached, yet you alone managed to hold it off. I admire you.”
With this voice, eight people quietly emerged from different positions. Dressed in black and masked, their eyes cold and sharp, they slowly walked toward Old Gao.
Old Gao's pupils constricted as he said in a deep voice, “Who are you?”
One of them sneered coldly and said, “Rumor has it that Gao Weicheng of the Blazing Fire Blade Sect has retired from the martial arts world, but it turns out to be false. A prestigious blade sect, reduced to being someone’s bodyguard, living a carefree life like a dog—truly enviable. Gao Weicheng, where is your blade?”
Old Gao trembled slightly, suddenly straightening his back. His previously hunched body became upright, and a sharp glint flashed in his eyes like a blade as he said coldly, “Since you know I’m Gao Weicheng, you must not be a nameless person. Take off your mask!”
The last sentence “Take off your mask!” was shouted like a thunderous roar!
That person remained unmoved, standing tall and indifferent, saying, “Gao Weicheng, you will return with Du Shiqing now, and we will not pursue! Otherwise, today will mark the end of your Blazing Fire Blade Sect!”
Old Gao laughed heartily, “What a bold claim! Today, I want to see how you intend to keep me here.”
