Adventurers' Guild Dormitory.
This is the dormitory where those registered with the Adventurers' Guild within three hundred days are allowed to reside.
Thus, many of the residents are beginners as adventurers.
Of course, even though they are beginners, many who aspire to become adventurers are strong-willed or have some skills... though that's based on their own standards.
Dormitory Room 10 is located at the end of the first floor.
From there, one can see the outdoor training grounds of the Adventurers' Guild and the courtyard of the dormitory.
And just now, in Room 10, Ryo had finally succeeded in alchemizing a detoxifying herb.
Aside from having asked Nils and the others for collection, Ryo had been experimenting with the basics of alchemy.
In the Forest of Rondo, he was unable to find the detoxifying herb even once, but he found it at the herb shop in the City of Run.
Moreover, right next to it, they were also selling the leaves of the Phosphorescent Flower.
By combining these two through alchemy, he could create a detoxifying agent… this must surely be divine guidance!
Without delay, he bought them, returned to his room, and isolated himself to write the magic circle from the "Basic Recipes of Alchemy" on paper.
With this in mind, he laid out the pestle, mortar, and other alchemical tools that he had purchased from the town's tool shop on the desk and began to grind them.
After grinding, he measured and mixed them together, and finally, it was time to channel his magical power into the magic circle of alchemy.
However, this proved to be difficult.
If the amount of magical power was too much or too little, it wouldn't work.
Yet the expression in the recipe book was too vague, saying "a certain amount of magical power."
Well, since it's not like water or electricity, quantifying it might be hard...
He focused intently for thirty minutes to find the appropriate amount of magical power.
Finally, he succeeded in alchemy.
It was the moment of his first success in alchemy.
"Hmph, I won."
Yes, Ryo had won... but what exactly he had won against was unclear to anyone.
In such a good mood, right in front of Ryo, it seemed that some trouble was occurring in the dormitory courtyard.
Since the window was open, he could hear the voices.
It seemed to have been going on for a while, but Ryo hadn't noticed since he was focused.
"Hey, you guys, she doesn’t want it. Stop it."
"We are the Royal Knight Order. If you serve us, you can have a fun night tonight. We might even keep you while you're in the City of Run."
"N-no, please let me go!"
It seemed that the knights were bothering a woman who had just become an adventurer.
That woman looked underage, more like a girl, about the same age as Amon.
And trying to protect that girl was none other than Dan from Room 1 and his entourage.
Well, it was possible that Dan and his group were the ones who had initially taken interest in the girl... but Ryo, who was not very informed about the dormitory's dynamics, could not make that judgment.
"Girl, being in the dormitory means you're still a novice adventurer, right? You probably don't have much money, so let us treat you. Be grateful and serve us."
"And we need a nighttime companion too."
With that, the five knights burst into lewd laughter.
"I refuse, please let me go!"
"Hey, she's refusing. If you keep acting cocky, I'll hit you."
The girl was reluctant, and Dan was trying to save her.
It would be too tactless for Ryo to jump in...
Nevertheless, it was clear that the knights appeared to be stronger.
They were probably knights accompanying the inspector of the great tsunami.
(There must be establishments for that in the city; they should just go there... what peculiar knights they are.)
Ryo's thoughts were limited to that.
However, the tension in the courtyard was gradually increasing.
And finally, it seemed they were about to cross a line.
"Scum... I’ll teach these adventurers some manners."
With that, the knight who was holding the girl's hand pushed her towards Dan and drew his sword.
"I'm not going to kill you. I’ll just teach you some manners."
