CHAPTER 4: True Martial

Before leaving in the morning, Chen Chu prepared food for the salamander clone for the morning.

However, before they could leave, Zhang Xiaolan, who hadn't gone to work yet, called out to them.

At the entrance of the old courtyard, Zhang Xiaolan gently helped Chen Chu adjust his collar. Looking at her eldest son, who was already as tall as she was, her eyes were filled with emotion.

"Mom, is there something else?" Chen Hu, standing beside her, asked with some confusion.

Looking at her two sons, Zhang Xiaolan smiled slightly, "It's nothing, I just wanted to tell you and your brother not to feel too much pressure now that school has just started."

Chen Hu shrugged, "It's just middle school; I can follow along easily."

Seeing her second son, who was strong and lively, Zhang Xiaolan smiled softly. She wasn't worried about him; he had always been clever and active, excelling both physically and academically.

What she was truly concerned about was her eldest son. After entering high school, he would have the opportunity to cultivate true martial, but not everyone had the talent for cultivation.

Her eldest son had always been frail and sickly, clearly not someone who could practice martial arts. The greater the hope, the greater the disappointment, and she feared he might suffer a blow...

Chen Chu calmly replied, "Mom, you don’t need to worry; I know what I’m doing."

"...Alright." Zhang Xiaolan opened her mouth but ultimately chose not to say anything more.

After bidding farewell to Zhang Xiaolan, the two brothers walked on their way to school.

Along the way, they could see many students in uniforms also heading to school, some alone, some in groups playing and laughing, and others riding bicycles.

Schools in the Federation were divided by districts, so many people wore the same uniforms as Chen Chu or Chen Hu.

In the classroom, class monitor Lin Xue and committee member Iray had arrived early, surrounded by many classmates chatting with them, creating a lively atmosphere.

As soon as Chen Chu sat down, Xia Youhui leaned over from in front and whispered mysteriously, "A Chu, I already know why Iray and the others became class officials."

...A Chu, are we that close? Although he was secretly complaining, Chen Chu still curiously asked.

"Why?"

"It’s said that the class monitor's parents are both strong cultivators. The homeroom teacher must want to curry favor with their family."

Well, both parents are strong cultivators.

Chen Chu asked, "What about the other one?"

Xia Youhui lowered his voice, "Iray is also impressive; his family is wealthy and influential in the city. Maybe he even gave the homeroom teacher a red envelope before school started to get on their good side."

I see, it turns out that class divisions exist in every world.

"Don’t let this spread around," Chen Chu reminded Xia Youhui in the end.

Regardless of whether this was true or not, as a student, it's best to avoid discussing the homeroom teacher behind their back; it would be bad if it reached their ears.

"I know; I've only told you about this. I haven't shared it with anyone else." Xia Youhui blinked, looking as if he trusted Chen Chu greatly.

At that moment, a math teacher walked in, and the class fell silent.

In this world, high school cultural classes were not very difficult. After a lesson, Chen Chu began to daydream, though, in reality, he was distracted, controlling the salamander clone at home to eat.

The morning classes quickly passed, and before they knew it, it was noon.

After having lunch and resting a bit, all the first-year students marched to the back of the school, where several high-rise buildings marked with letters A, B, C, and D surrounded a central gym, forming the training area.

According to their class, Chen Chu and the others arrived at the fifth-floor training classroom in building B.

In the spacious training classroom, a stern-looking middle-aged man in his thirties stood on the platform, with a large screen behind him that was five meters tall and eight meters wide.
