Chapter 5: The Genius
After the teacher left, class monitor Lin Xue walked up to the podium.
Unbeknownst to her, as she pressed on the podium, the large screen behind her slowly split open, revealing a pure white lotus stone carving.
The lotus almost occupied half of the wall, with the patterns on the petals clearly visible, emitting a faint, strange glow.
Looking at everyone below, Lin Xue calmly said, “True martial cultivation is too powerful; it’s not a skill that ordinary people can practice, so foundation establishment is necessary.”
“And foundation establishment requires meeting two conditions: your mental strength must be sufficiently active, and your blood energy must be surging.”
“The carving on the wall behind me is called the Lotus Platform Meditation Technique. It contains the thoughts of a strong practitioner and can help everyone quickly enter meditation and achieve stillness.”
“When you can clearly outline the lotus platform with your mental strength, it indicates that you meet the mental standards.”
“The standard for smooth blood circulation and surging blood energy is to complete the Tenth Transformation Body Forging Method within half an hour. Only by meeting both these standards can one establish a foundation.”
As Lin Xue explained this, most of the students in the class appeared calm, clearly already aware of this information.
Only a few students, like Chen Chu, were hearing this for the first time, displaying thoughtful expressions and listening intently.
“Remember, being able to establish a foundation and cultivate true martial is the greatest privilege the country grants us ordinary people; not everyone can achieve innate awakening.”
“Alright, everyone disperse and start your first meditation practice.” After saying this, Lin Xue turned and walked down from the podium, finding a spacious place to sit cross-legged.
Seeing this, others followed her example.
Chen Chu sat at the edge of the crowd, concentrating his attention on the stone carving as Lin Xue instructed, and immediately, the lotus flower appeared to grow larger in his eyes.
For ordinary people who had never practiced before, mental strength felt ethereal, intangible, and ungraspable.
But when the lotus flower occupied Chen Chu’s entire field of vision, he subconsciously closed his eyes and, for the first time, clearly perceived the existence of mental strength.
In the endless darkness of consciousness, a transparent lotus with only a few dashed lines slowly rotated in his mind.
“Is this what it means to quickly enter meditation? So amazing!” Chen Chu exclaimed in surprise.
Although it was his first time practicing, he understood how difficult it was for ordinary people to perceive their mental strength from nothing through meditation.
This was under the condition that he could sit still.
In normal circumstances, an ordinary person might close their eyes and drift into distracted thoughts, unable to settle down, let alone concentrate on meditation.
One could imagine how much time this image would save them.
However, as Chen Chu attempted to visualize the lotus clearly, he found his progress extremely slow and mentally exhausting.
After just half an hour, he felt dizzy, mentally fatigued, and had to exit meditation.
“I can’t believe this is so tiring.” Chen Chu rubbed his forehead.
After a brief rest and feeling somewhat comfortable, he turned to look around and noticed that most of his classmates had also exited the meditative state.
Some sat there in a daze, while others stared intently at the stone carving, and like Chen Chu, they all looked fatigued, clearly having expended a lot of mental energy.
However, some were still continuing to meditate.
For example, in the front row, Lin Xue, Iray, and another six students—Xia Youhui among them—were still meditating.
After waiting a while, Xia Youhui and the other five also gradually exited their meditative states, leaving only Lin Xue, Iray, and another boy.
In this situation, although no one reminded them, everyone stayed silent to avoid disturbing them.
