In the video conference room, the atmosphere was somewhat heavy.
Each participant had a light barrier divided into twenty-five sections, each displaying the figure of a tribe leader from various races.
The reason for this is that among these twenty-five screens, twenty-four showed the leaders of major races, while one light barrier displayed the image of a serene woman.
Few people know her real name or full name, but everyone knows her identity: Ana, the personal maid of Queen Ning Jihua Mei of the Lena People.
Don’t mistake a maid for just someone who serves; to some extent, that is true, but Ana is not that kind of maid.
She is about the same age as Queen Ning Jihua Mei and has been by the queen's side since birth, training, studying, and living together.
Ana is the shadow of Queen Ning Jihua Mei, her personal bodyguard, and the head of the royal palace.
In the entire Lena People, her status can definitely rank in the top five.
Such a person can actually represent Ning Jihua Mei in many occasions.
Of course, another important point is that Ana is very powerful, strong enough that many believe she might be second only to Ning Jihua Mei, or even... surpass her.
Now, Ana was sitting here, representing the will of Ning Jihua Mei and the entire Lena People.
Ana had already said what needed to be said, and afterward, she sat and watched the expressions of other tribe leaders and grand elders on the light barriers.
Watching their direct or concealed expressions, Ana found it very interesting, much like how she enjoyed squatting on the streets of End City to observe the various facets of life.
After watching for a few hours, she looked up at the huge terrace. If Queen Ning Jihua Mei appeared there, it meant she had finished her business, and Ana would go back. If no one was there, she would continue watching.
She wouldn’t bother with everything she saw, at most, she would write it down and submit it to the administration department.
When Ning Jihua Mei asked her why she didn’t intervene when she saw something bad, Ana said that was part of her cultivation.
Now, it was also part of her cultivation.
“Lady Ana, what you said caught us a bit off guard,” said a man on one of the light barriers, bald with a high forehead, a characteristic of the Yue Lai Clan. He was the Grand Elder and the father of the current tribe leader.
“To be honest, I personally see nothing wrong with our previous actions. The three great alliances of the All Races of the Universe plus the Tarros Red Dwarf have a complicated relationship; cooperation and confrontation have never ceased. Whether it’s cooperation or confrontation depends entirely on everyone’s needs and the situation at hand.”
“Previously, we collaborated with the Su Clan to confront the Tarros Red Dwarf and Hall People, which aligned with our interests. Otherwise, letting those dwarfs and Hall People team up to suppress the Su Clan would not bode well for our Lena People alliance either.”
At this point, the Grand Elder of the Yue Lai Clan changed his tone, “But now, what you’re suggesting feels a bit over the line.”
“The Castle of Clamor is built on the Survivor Fortress where the dwarfs reside; it is their stronghold for controlling other regions and a symbol of their influence in that Survivor Fortress.”
“This time, their military reform has directly incorporated that Survivor Fortress into their sphere of influence, stationing two entire legions at the Castle of Clamor, along with various logistics and technical personnel. There are millions of dwarfs there, and it has completely become a medium-sized city—no, a powerful war fortress!”
“That place symbolizes the dwarfs' power; if we proceed with this, even if we don’t do anything else, it will be a serious provocation to the dwarfs. At this moment, filled with gunpowder, this could ignite the fuse. I fear we won’t have a good ending; do we really want to go to war with the dwarfs?”
After the Grand Elder of the Yue Lai Clan finished speaking, many people in the light barriers nodded, clearly agreeing with this viewpoint.
