“Exciting! Exciting!” A Cloud Summit Warrior put down his empty Magic Crystal Firearms and spat on the ground.
Earlier, they had been heavily suppressed by the fear of the beastmen, frequently attacking while something fell from above.
Those who were lucky would suffer a broken head, or a fracture, or even be knocked unconscious. The unlucky ones were smashed into meat patties or fell off the city wall.
Especially those harpies, who would dive from the sky at incredible speeds, shooting arrows with a swift whoosh. Perhaps due to the exceptional defensive gear of the Cloud Summit Warriors, most of the time, they opted to aim for the eyes.
Among those who were shot dead by these harpies, many who survived ended up with one eye blinded.
Even now, the eyes were irreparable. Even if there were other methods, the required resources were too precious, and not everyone was as fortunate as Little Tiger.
The Cloud Summit Warriors hated these creatures to the bone.
Today, they finally felt relieved. Before the battle, the team distributed various ranged weapons, allowing everyone to choose according to their preferences and abilities, with bows, crossbows, firearms, and magic crystal weapons available.
Just a moment ago, there were numerous warriors from both teams attacking the sky together, delivering a heavy blow to the unsuspecting beastman air force, venting a lot of their grievances accumulated over the past few days.
“Below the city!”
The roar of Tong Hu was the command. This warrior immediately picked up his weapon and moved to his designated defensive position.
However, just after taking a couple of steps forward, countless sounds of piercing air rushed towards him. The six-star warrior sensed danger, didn’t even lift his head, and directly dove to the ground, as a long spear brushed right over his head.
A sharp cry sounded behind him, and he knew that one of his comrades must have taken a hit. The force, enhanced by the equipment, meant that unless it was someone of seven-star or above, this brother was in grave danger.
He gritted his teeth and slightly raised his head to assess the situation, seeing shadows of sticks sweeping over his head. He understood that it was Boss Tong Hu protecting them.
He immediately jumped up, rushed to the giant crossbow he was responsible for, made a simple adjustment, and pulled the special trigger. A metal bolt several meters long flew out from the shooting port between the arrow stacks.
This warrior didn’t bother to check the results of his shot; he knew he must have hit something, given how densely packed the attacking forces below were.
After firing his first bolt, a comrade next to him quickly handed him another. This second shot allowed the warrior to calm down a bit; he aimed downward and saw a gigantic figure dragging an immensely large stone hammer approaching the city wall.
Siege beastmen! That’s what the Cloud Summit Warriors called it.
“Just you!” the warrior murmured, aimed carefully, and suddenly one hand glowed. As he made this motion, energy was infused into the bolt, and then it shot out as if it had vanished. When it reappeared, it was already in front of the gigantic beastman, the sharp metal spinning at high speed and enhanced by the skill, piercing into the heavily armored creature.
The bolt exploded, tearing apart the monster’s body, which slowly fell to the ground, its gigantic hammer dropping alongside it.
These monsters would hammer the city wall fiercely when they reached the base. Now, half of the cracks on the wall were caused by them.
This Cloud Summit Warrior chuckled, very satisfied with his strike, but the next moment he suddenly felt a chill in his chest. He looked down and found a small black wooden arrow embedded there, even the green-level armor couldn’t protect him. He instinctively looked toward the city below, where the prince of the largest force in the Titan Secret Realm was lowering his right hand, holding a peculiar wooden hand crossbow.
A nearby warrior shoved this comrade and shouted for the medic, then took over his position and fired a third bolt.
