Wen Hong's several metallic tentacles lashed out, showing no mercy towards the little girl, engaging her head-on.
To anyone watching, this seemed like a very reasonable action. After all, if a top expert faced off against a fuleira, who could possibly escape when only a few thousand were left, it would indeed be laughable.
However, what surprised everyone was that when these metallic tentacles collided with the long-handled axe, they were unexpectedly bounced back.
Wen Hong, who had been trading blows with the white dragon horse, suddenly let out a shout.
To be honest, Ye Zhongming and the others didn't understand what she said, but Little Brother Jiu behind Wen Hong did.
It was a warning for him to be cautious.
The fearless little girl descended from the sky, her long-handled axe striking against the huge shield formed by Wen Hong's extracted power, creating a deafening noise.
Surprisingly, Wen Hong's body, which couldn’t be shaken by the white dragon horse, actually took a step back.
She had inadvertently exposed Little Brother Jiu standing behind her.
Everyone was taken aback; they never thought she could actually force Wen Hong to move aside.
The white dragon horse immediately lunged at Wen Hong again, launching a furious assault, not giving her the chance to regroup, in an effort to create an opportunity for Ye Zhongming, the Mechanical Genius, and Pao Bai, who were likely nearby, to strike down Little Brother Jiu.
But Little Brother Jiu, who had been revealed, looked very different from before.
He… or rather, it had transformed into a monster.
The head remained, but the body resembled a bundle of coiled cables, stacked together and taking up considerable space. Surrounding its body were nine monsters with long necks, glaring with eerie green eyes at the group in front of them, with part of their bodies hidden in the unseen caverns behind.
“Die!”
As Little Brother Jiu's words fell, the nine long-necked monsters shot green ball-shaped objects from their hollow mouths, filling the air with a pungent stench.
The moment Wen Hong created the opening, the Mechanical Genius and Mountain Rage had already launched their attacks.
Both had ranged capabilities and unleashed their firepower towards Little Brother Jiu, tearing through flesh and blood on the monster. However, upon seeing those green orbs, both the Mechanical Genius and Mountain Rage instinctively dodged.
Ye Zhongming promptly raised a large shield in front of him.
The green orbs crashed into the mountainside and the shield, making loud banging noises while corroding everything they touched, leaving behind large holes. This startled both Ye Zhongming and the Mechanical Genius.
One would think a corrosive substance would take some time, yet this thing penetrated instantly; it was terrifying.
Ye Zhongming quickly leaped aside, his hands waving as the shield, now riddled with holes, instantly disassembled into countless metallic needles, flying towards Little Brother Jiu with his movement.
After a significant increase in power, his abilities, though not entirely at his whim, had become incredibly versatile.
Utilizing his top-tier artisan skills, he quickly dismantled the equipment before him, reshaping it into what he desired, launching an energy-laden attack.
He didn't genuinely aim to kill Little Brother Jiu with this maneuver; he merely wanted to counter the nine ghostly heads expelling the green spheres.
Mountain Rage vanished back into Ye Zhongming's space, while the Mechanical Genius, having dodged the attack, knew it was not the time to hide. He, like the now weakened little girl, likely had only one opportunity to attack.
Muttering some indistinct syllables, he watched as his mechanical steed transformed, absorbing the scattered metals from Wen Hong's earlier battle, reshaping itself and instantly assembling into a gigantic mechanical entity.
It resembled a massive cannon.
Then, the cannon's muzzle lit up, releasing a thick beam of energy.
Ye Zhongming was close; he didn’t see how Little Brother Jiu fared with the energy beam, but he first noticed that after the Mechanical Genius fired, his steed collapsed, scattering debris around, revealing a tender, pink little boy.
