Chapter 1934: The Predecessor's Show of Authority đź’Ş

Published: February 12, 2025

The two lords of the Star-Eye Clan remained silent for a long time.

Perhaps Pao Bai was right; the Star-Eye Clan, due to the pressure of survival, had a strong desire to live on, seeking every possible way to ensure the continuation of their race.

Self-preservation was a deeply rooted concept among every clan member.

But Ye Zhongming was different; his mindset seemed to lack any conservatism and was solely focused on aggression.

He admitted the weakness of the Star-Eye Clan, and even acknowledged that his own strength was insignificant among the All Races of the Universe, but that did not hinder his aggressive philosophy.

So what if a snake swallows an elephant? If it can’t swallow the whole elephant, it can certainly swallow a smaller one!

Thus, Ye Zhongming had no intention of merely maintaining the status quo. After confirming that he would stay with the Star-Eye Clan as the first rookie, he was determined to lead the people here in an offensive.

“Do you have specific targets? Or should I say, excuses?”

Finally, Lord Yan spoke up. Upon hearing this, Ye Zhongming understood that the two clan leaders had likely agreed with him.

“Yes.”

“Who?”

“Are we talking about early, mid, or ultimate targets? I can mention them all; the early target is…”

The two clan leaders exchanged glances, once again stunned by Ye Zhongming's 'ideas'. They finally realized that although their strength might far exceed that of this man who had just come from his home planet, in terms of personality, or more specifically, in the way of doing things, he was so aggressive that the entire Star-Eye Clan couldn’t keep up.

This man from Earth, even his mid-level targets could be frightening!

There was another moment of silence, so much so that Ye Zhongming joked to himself, wondering if the two clan leaders had a way to communicate without revealing their thoughts.

After a while, the two clan leaders stood up.

“Perhaps you are right; perhaps some of our long-held beliefs are no longer suitable for this era. Since that’s the case, let us both take a gamble with you!”

“Even if it leads to our extinction, let's go out with a bang!”

The two lords of the Star-Eye Clan made their final decision.

Before leaving the room, Ye Zhongming suddenly asked, “Aslan is your chosen successor; why does she need to show her true face? If she does, she won’t maintain the aura of mystery once she takes her position, right?”

You all have countless faces, yet you allow your daughter to run around the universe with her face bare?

The two clan leaders exchanged a glance before laughing together.

Lord Yan, with a half-smile, said, “How do you know that Aslan’s current face is her true face?”

Lord Xing followed up, “Refusing my daughter might just make you regret it.”

………………………………

Ye Zhongming had returned to the Star-Eye Clan for three days, yet he still hadn’t taken over the Bronze Camp, which had all of Star-Eye Clan highly concerned about the situation.

Many people speculated about the reasons, mainly focusing on two possibilities. One was that he simply looked down on the Bronze Squad, believing it to be a ragtag army that didn’t match his status as the top rookie.

This speculation had some basis; as the rookie battlefield came to an end, many races had gradually revealed the conditions that Ye Zhongming had been unable to take advantage of.

These conditions were certainly something that the nearly extinct Star-Eye Clan could not offer.

Faced with these temptations, everyone felt that Ye Zhongming’s mindset would inevitably fluctuate, and that his three-day absence from his post was a way to express dissatisfaction in order to negotiate for greater benefits.

The second theory, which was quite the opposite, suggested that Ye Zhongming was doing this to show off to his future subordinates, asserting dominance and letting them know who the boss was.

This theory also had its merits, as the Bronze Camp had been sending people to fetch this rookie leader for three consecutive days, only to find no one there, all being met with a closed door.
