Commander Cheng Liujin and Pao Bai stood on this side of the passage, watching Ye Zhongming's figure disappear into the door. They exchanged glances.

"Ultimately, it all depends on the two clan leaders," Commander Cheng Liujin sighed, knowing that the conversation taking place inside might concern the future of the Star-Eye Clan.

Indeed, Commander Cheng Liujin had already reached an agreement with Ye Zhongming. However, as the main parties involved, it was still Ye Zhongming and the two clan leaders of the Star-Eye Clan whose conversation, as well as their feelings and impressions of each other, were key.

"There shouldn't be any problems," Pao Bai said as he turned with Commander Cheng Liujin, continuing to walk. "Ye Zhongming possesses the ambition we have long lost. Over the years, our struggle for survival has instilled in us more of a desire to survive rather than overflowing ambition."

As the two walked, there was an unexpected harmony, without the familiar scene of one challenging and the other rejecting they had seen before.

"Perhaps it’s because he is that kind of person on his home planet. This is unique to many newcomers; many lives perish because of it, and those who survive become powerful."

Commander Cheng Liujin smiled under his mask. "I have a basis for saying this. Look at what he wants; it’s obvious he wants to fight a battle. The question is whether we can withstand the pressure for him."

Pao Bai shrugged indifferently, "Even if we can't withstand it, we must, because we have no choice."

Commander Huang Jin nodded. He understood that, while it seemed they had secured first place overall and alleviated the dire situation of the Star-Eye Clan, there was a price to pay—they had killed too many on the rookie battlefield, and there was also Ye Zhongming's potential.

Many races wouldn't care about this, yet many others would.

Potential is something no one can guarantee will be realized, but both Commander Cheng Liujin and Pao Bai were optimistic, as were many other races.

Currently, both outside and within the Star-Eye Clan, the sentiment was that Ye Zhongming's transformation had little effect as long as Fuleira was not suppressed.

However, many would look at it from another angle: now that he was already this formidable, imagine how powerful he would become when he grows?

This pressure was invisible but carried a sense of guilt for holding precious things.

"Yes, we will endure it."

After walking a few more steps, Commander Cheng Liujin suddenly said, "Isn't this the most united time for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze three major teams since that incident? The three commanders have the best relationship now?"

...........................................

Ye Zhongming was a bit surprised because neither Lord Xing nor Lord Yan in front of him wore masks.

As far as he knew, the two leaders would only remove their masks during certain specific times, and even then, most of the time, they would be facing away from the members of the Star-Eye Clan.

Many said that the two clan leaders of the Star-Eye Clan had countless faces, making them the most outstanding assassins and ambushers.

In fact, no one was clear how many faces there were besides themselves, but one thing could not be denied: what truly supported the current Star-Eye Clan? Was it the three major teams? Assassination bounties? Or the madman Pao Bai?

No, none of these were the real answer. The only ones still holding a bit of deterrent power against other races were these two clan leaders.

In a situation where it was uncertain if they could kill both clan leaders together, no one was willing to make a move against the Star-Eye Clan.

The great clan looked down on them, while other races feared them.

They were afraid of the two clan leaders of the Star-Eye Clan escaping, because if that happened, their future days would face the threat of the most outstanding assassins attacking them at any time.

So, just by this action, Ye Zhongming understood that the two clan leaders were expressing their unconditional trust in him.
