Strictly speaking, this time Great America struck the Soaring Crystal, surpassing the Twentieth Star, escaping the nebula's restraint and the death zone.
They could take advantage of the time while Cloud Summit was still in the area to move swiftly, distancing themselves from Cloud Summit. After all, internally, they basically wanted to give up on competing for the Mountain King Crown; it was enough to safely complete ten rounds.
However, bad luck really can bring misfortune.
Great America ended up on the Twenty-Second Star after three steps this round, due to paying the toll in the previous round. This place belonged to the Mechanical Genius, which was somewhat fortunate amidst the misfortune. Although it was tougher to deal with than the women's camp or the Ogre Chain star forces, it was still better than landing on the perverse Cloud Summit star.
But when the team reached this point, the spatial prompt sounded.
When no cards were used, the spatial prompt was a death warrant.
"Bad luck card activated, Great America will have a demon appear within three rounds, participating in the attacks against the battle team in each round."
"In this round, destruction thunder appears, landing on the Twenty-First Star."
In the Twenty-Second Star, due to the Overclock Card, they would inevitably be attacked.
"The Twenty-First Star belongs to Cloud Summit Villa, and is struck by destruction thunder, injuring the Guardian Beast."
"The Twentieth Star belongs to the Ogre Chain, hit by destruction thunder, resulting in the death of the Guardian Beast and the destruction of the star."
Similar to the previous round with the Mechanical Genius, first, an unprotected star was attacked, and only then did it become the turn of the star where the battle team was located.
Black Peach shouted anxiously, ordering everyone to take out their defensive equipment to resist the thunder that was about to fall from the sky.
However, faced with such a powerful attack, at least over 60% of his subordinates chose to flee.
This was a kind of instinctual self-preservation.
Great America was not the Mechanical Genius; that battle team was too special, with only one living person who could control all the strong battle dolls.
As the thunder fell, he could order each battle doll to self-destruct to offset that terrifying heavenly might.
But Great America couldn't do that. This was essentially an alliance-type battle team; they were together due to mutual benefits. When bad omens appeared, each person thought not about how to solve it but rather how to save themselves.
In the face of destruction thunder, it was likely that only the top evolvers could resist it, while others, even if they exhausted all their strength, would achieve little.
So when the thunder fell, what were they afraid of? Waiting to be used as cannon fodder to exhaust the power of the thunder? Sacrificing themselves for someone else's survival?
Come on, they'd rather all die together than do that.
Of course, they didn't know who that "someone" was.
Black Peach's face turned green; seeing only a handful of people ready their defensive equipment, he wondered how they could withstand the thunder.
He could only shout hoarsely that if they couldn't hold on, they would all die, they would all perish!
This shout was effective; at least those high-level evolvers knew they couldn't run. If they fled without anyone to block the thunder, they would really be finished.
So at the moment the thunder fell, many powerful skills or defensive equipment faced the sky.
As a test, destruction thunder was not an attack that was insurmountable; otherwise, this round's space would lose its meaning, and the Mountain King Plateau would forever remain unclaimed.
But it was immensely powerful and required a great price.
Among the current battle teams, the strongest were naturally Cloud Summit Villa and the Mechanical Genius. Apart from them, the Ogre Chain and Great America were probably the next best, both battle teams having their own characteristics and being top-tier strong teams.
