This is Satou. There was a time when I was just casually handling some leftover work, thinking it was a routine task, only to discover an unexpected mistake and suddenly be thrown into a crisis. You know, if you just pretend not to see those kinds of things and leave them alone, the effort to fix them later multiplies many times over, so you have no choice but to reluctantly deal with it right away.

“Th-the demon dragons are coming in a group…”
From the enormous cavern beyond the tower, a swarm of vanguard demon dragons, the Evil Dragon Vanguard, was approaching.
The Silver Members and Hero Hayato’s attendants, who had been locked in fierce battle against a single demon dragon just moments ago, now trembled as they saw the large swarm.
“My arms are itching to fight.”
“Yay~?”
Seeing that, Pochi and Tama started rotating their arms eagerly.
“This looks like an enemy worth taking down.”
“I can confirm there’s no shortage on their side.”
“Yes, we’ll do our best!”
“Hmm, annihilate!”
The other Golden Members were also fully motivated by the rare appearance of such strong foes.
“Are we really going to do this?”
“Yes, leave it to us.”
Liza readied her beloved demonic spear Doma.
She seemed to want to save the new Dragon Spear she was given for later.
Even though the demonic spear Doma had been upgraded multiple times, its penetration and attack power were still lower compared to the Dragon Spear. Rationally, against such formidable foes, the Dragon Spear would be the obvious choice, but she preferred to use her trusty spear she was familiar with.
“I shall fight as well.”
“Wait, Lady Karina. We would only slow them down.”
Battle-hyped Miss Karina tried to join Tama and Pochi, but her partner, the intelligent magical artifact Laka, stopped her.
“Everyone else should rest and prepare for the next battle. It’s fine to leave this to them.”
Looking at the map, once the demon dragon horde is broken through, only a few strong enemies remain in front of the Demon World Gate.
There are plenty of opportunities for Miss Karina and co. to excel before that point.
“Deploy reinforced exoskeletons!”
Under Arisa’s command, the Golden Members equipped the reinforced exoskeletons stored in the adjacent subspace.
Fundamentally, these are SF-style powered suits resembling exoskeletons, but the rear guard had additional units combined with Lulu’s floating turrets. They were no match for warships or shield ships but were just right for use within the tower.
“Please release the Golden Knight Red (Arisa) and Yellow Wing (Ryuryu) from the cage.”
Pochi’s voice was converted by her golden armor.
“Okay! Cage release!”
Ryuryu, a low-rank dragon who had been transported inside the tower using Arisa’s spatial magic, appeared from subspace.
Today, Ryuryu was outfitted in golden gear matching Pochi’s. Their true identities were obvious, but by now, it didn’t matter.
“All right, rear guard team! Full power unleashed, let’s go!”
Arisa pointed her World Tree Staff at the demon dragon horde.
Coordinating with her movement, the support devices connected to the floating turrets on the reinforced exoskeleton also faced the dragons.
“Myth Collapse: Lesser ‘Lesser Mythology Down’.”
“Myth Extinction: Lesser ‘Lesser Mythology Extinction’.”
Arisa and Hikaru’s anti-Demon King magic activated.
Flashes of light blew the demon dragons back, followed shortly by a deafening roar and tremors that shook their bodies.
They had intentionally weakened the convergence to expand the area of effect, and most of the demon dragons were caught within it, with over half suffering significant damage.
“Yesssssss!”
Watching many points of light disappear, Arisa raised her fist and shouted with joy.
“I leveled up!”
—Wow, seriously?
Arisa had finally surpassed level 99, the so-called “limit of humanity,” and reached level 100. She even earned the new title “One Who Surpasses Human Limits,” which I don’t have.
Everyone paused their attacks to celebrate Arisa.
