Chapter 239: Bull Head Royal Flag
Zhao Hai fixed his gaze on the Blood Eagle soaring in the sky. It circled continuously, while Laura and the others also watched the Blood Eagle, eager to know what kind of intelligence it would bring back.
Before long, Zhao Hai realized that the Blood Eagle was highly capable of aerial reconnaissance due to its excellent eyesight, and it understood Zhao Hai's intentions perfectly. Thus, using it as an aerial scout was undoubtedly the best choice.
The information brought back by the Blood Eagle was crucial for Zhao Hai, as it reported that two orc tribes were engaged in battle. One side was the Tauren tribe, while the other was the Jackal tribe.
Zhao Hai frowned, unsure if he should intervene in this situation. For a human to recklessly meddle in a conflict between orc tribes could lead to undesirable consequences.
Laura and the others also understood the implications of the information brought back by the Blood Eagle. Laura felt conflicted; the orc tribes viewed combat as a matter of honor. If they intervened casually, it could offend both sides, and even those they helped might not show gratitude.
After thinking for a while and unable to come up with a clear solution, Laura turned to Zhao Hai and said, "Brother Hai, what do you think we should do?"
Zhao Hai contemplated for a moment and replied, "Let’s go take a look and pretend we’re just passing by for now; we don’t need to intervene just yet." Laura nodded, and Zhao Hai quickly directed the cart toward the battlefield.
The battlefield was not close to their current location; otherwise, the Blood Eagle wouldn’t have taken all morning to return with news. To reach the battlefield as quickly as possible, Zhao Hai stored all the grain carts back into his space and only drove Laura's cart forward, greatly increasing their speed.
After more than two hours of travel, they finally approached the direction of the battlefield the Blood Eagle had seen. Sounds of shouting and fighting echoed in the air, clearly audible even from a distance.
Zhao Hai was surprised to find that the battle between the two tribes had lasted so long. It was already noon, and by the time the Blood Eagle spotted them, the two sides had been fighting for at least three hours. This was quite a long time.
Slowing down, Zhao Hai took the grain cart back out and leisurely made their way toward the battlefield. Knowing that both sides were still engaged in battle, he didn’t feel rushed.
Soon, they drew closer to the battlefield, and from a distance, it appeared to be a camp. The scale of the camp was relatively small, about the same size as the Goat Head Hammer Tribe. At the top of the large tent in the center of the camp flew a prominent bull head flag. Laura glanced at the flag and her expression changed, "The Bull Head Royal Flag, how could it be the Bull Head Royal Flag?"
Zhao Hai was taken aback, "The Bull Head Royal Flag? You mean that’s the Bull Head Royal Flag?" The reason for his shock was clear; the Bull Head Royal Flag was not something just anyone could wield. It was reserved for the royal family of the Herculean Bull Tribe.
While there were so many tribes on the Orc Prairie that even the orcs themselves might lose count, each major tribe had its royal family. For instance, the Tauren tribe had many sub-tribes like the Barbarian Tribe and the Rhinoceros Tribe, but all belonged to the larger Tauren tribe.
The royal family within the Tauren tribe was the Herculean Bull Tribe. The men of the Herculean Bull Tribe were born warriors, completely devoid of hair, with golden skin that provided them with excellent defense. Moreover, they possessed innate strength due to their bloodline, making their combat abilities on par with the most renowned battle tribes of the orcs.
If it weren’t for the fact that many common bulls had relatively low combat abilities, the Bull Clan could also be considered a battle tribe. On the prairie, to determine whether a race was a battle tribe, it wasn’t enough to look at the combat strength of one or two branches; one needed to consider the overall strength of the tribe. Many branches of the Bull Clan were weak, which brought down the overall strength of the tribe, leading them to be classified as a race rather than a battle tribe.
