CHAPTER 238: The Strange Notification Sound
Because Ni'er had always been very innocent, Zhao Hai and the others unconsciously treated her like a little sister, which was why Zhao Hai spoke to her in such a tone.
Ni'er tilted her head and thought for a moment before nodding and saying, "Okay, when they give birth to the piglets, the young master must give me two."
Zhao Hai smiled and nodded. He knew that Ni'er liked raising magical beasts, so he wasn't surprised by her request. Zhao Hai looked around and saw that they had already moved a considerable distance from the Goat Head Hammer Tribe, and there was no one else around, so he instructed Laura to stop the cart. He then stored the mountain goat, spraying pig, and prairie mastiff in the space.
Next, they all entered the space. Currently, these animals were still in storage; Zhao Hai needed to take them to the ranch before the ranch would give an evaluation.
As soon as Zhao Hai and the others entered the space, they heard a series of knocking sounds. Zhao Hai was taken aback and looked over, discovering that Galen and the others were standing at Iron Mountain Fortress, anxiously knocking on the ground.
Zhao Hai froze for a moment, quickly understanding what was happening. At the same time, he felt a sense of guilt; he had drunk too much yesterday and, of course, hadn't returned to the space or the Iron Mountain Fortress. Galen and the others must have been very worried about him and likely hadn't slept well last night.
Seeing this situation, Zhao Hai didn't care about leveling up the ranch anymore and quickly brought Galen and the others into the space. As soon as they entered, they saw Zhao Hai standing there with a guilty expression. Galen hurried over and carefully looked Zhao Hai up and down, saying, "Young master, are you okay? Why didn't you return to Iron Mountain Fortress yesterday? We were worried all night."
Zhao Hai said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Grandpa Galen. Yesterday, we encountered a big-bellied pig tribe, and you know how those orcs drink without a care. I drank too much and didn't make it back to the space. I'm really sorry."
Upon hearing this, Galen let out a sigh of relief and smiled, saying, "So it was drinking with orcs. That’s understandable; those orcs won't let anyone go until they’ve had their fill of drink."
Kun Zheng, who had been talking to Laura, also chuckled and said, "Yes, those orcs are crazy about alcohol. It's normal for Little Hai to have been overindulged. By the way, Little Hai, what good things did you trade for this time?"
Before Zhao Hai could respond, Laura chimed in happily, "This time we actually traded for several good items: five high-quality orc-made blankets, five carpets, ten mountain goats, two magical beasts unique to the big-bellied pig tribe, the spraying pig, and two prairie mastiffs."
Kun Zheng and the others knew how much food they had brought back this time, so upon hearing Laura's words, Kun Zheng nodded and said, "Not bad, it’s about the same as the normal price."
Laura smiled and said, "There actually weren’t this many to begin with, but Spill felt that Brother Hai is his true friend, so he gave us extra. We couldn't refuse. Haha, these items aren't that important; the most crucial part is that we've obtained three types of magical beasts."
Kun Zheng and the others understood Laura's point; getting three types of magical beasts this time meant that the ranch was likely to upgrade again.
Kun Zheng immediately said, "So what are we waiting for? Let's release them and quickly upgrade the ranch!"
Zhao Hai laughed and said, "It won't be that easy. The three magical beasts we brought back don't seem to be at very high levels, so upgrading the ranch won't be straightforward."
Galen smiled and said, "That’s fine; we’ve just entered the Orc Prairie, haven’t we? I've heard that each orc race has its own special magical beasts. If we can collect all those beasts, the ranch might really reach the highest level. I really want to see what the ranch looks like at the highest level."
