CHAPTER 240: Prophet
Laura took a deep breath and carefully looked at the battle flag planted on the tent; it was indeed the bull head royal flag, no doubt about it. She turned to Zhao Hai and said, "Brother Hai, it’s definitely the bull head royal flag. What should we do?"
Zhao Hai frowned. He wasn't sure either. It was utterly illogical for the jackal tribe to attack the Herculean Bull Tribe. Zhao Hai always felt something was off about this situation, but he couldn't pinpoint what exactly.
He glanced at the battlefield again and sighed, "It’s useless; we’re too close to the battlefield now, and they’ve already noticed us. Let’s move forward."
Laura looked over at the battlefield and saw that indeed, someone had noticed them. At this point, even if they wanted to turn around, it would be too late.
They weren't afraid of what the opposing side might do to them, but they shouldn't forget that their cart was still flying the friendship flag of the big-bellied pig tribe. Even if they managed to escape, it would still cause trouble for Spill. After all, there are no secrets that can be kept for long, and whether it was the Herculean Bull Tribe or the jackal tribe, neither was a force that a small tribe like the Goat Head Hammer Tribe could afford to offend.
Zhao Hai and his group slowly made their way towards the battlefield, and their reaction clearly caught both sides off guard. The attacking side was the jackal tribe, while the defending side was the Herculean Bull Tribe.
This time, the jackal tribe had quite a number of personnel, nearly two thousand, surrounding the small camp that could only accommodate a few hundred, constantly launching attacks.
On the defensive side, the Herculean Bull Tribe had only around three hundred members, but all of them were elite warriors. They wore leather armor and wielded double-bladed heavy axes but did not ride mounts. Their mounts were giant,土-colored bulls standing over three meters tall. These bulls were only covered in a thin layer of fine hair but were incredibly strong, with developed muscles and sharp, angular bodies. Their nearly one-meter-long horns were extremely sharp, and they were currently restless in the camp, stamping their hooves as if they couldn't wait to charge into battle. It finally made sense to Zhao Hai why they were called the Herculean Bull Tribe.
The members of the Herculean Bull Tribe stood over two and a half meters tall, with muscles more developed than that of bodybuilders. If they were to participate in a bodybuilding contest on Earth, even Schwarzenegger would have to step aside.
Their skin was golden yellow, shimmering with a metallic luster, similar to the actors on Earth who would apply gold powder to resemble the eighteen bronze men.
With their massive bull heads, half-meter-long horns, and double-bladed battle axes that exceeded three meters in length (including the handles), just the size of those axes was over two hundred pounds.
Although they were outnumbered, they formed a circle around the central tent of the camp, acting as a solid wall, and not a single jackal tribesman could break through. Already, there were quite a few jackal tribe corpses lying in front of them.
In contrast, the jackal tribesmen were vastly different. They rode mounts that resembled wolves but were much larger—almost two meters tall, with sharp claws and cold eyes, showcasing their formidable attacking abilities.
Few jackal tribesmen wore leather armor; most wore the ordinary leather garments commonly worn by orcs. They stood around one meter seventy tall, wielding a variety of weapons. Their heads resembled jackals, with vicious glints in their eyes.
Zhao Hai was surprised to find that the jackal tribesmen were not very tall; in fact, they were even shorter than ordinary humans. To think that such a stature could make them the most outstanding bandits on the Orc Prairie was indeed unexpected.
At this moment, both battling sides noticed Zhao Hai and his group. Instead of advancing, Zhao Hai had them form a circle with the carts, adopting a defensive stance.
