CHAPTER 64: A Twist of Fate

“Are you really Chu Yang? The Chu King of Hell?” Yang Ruolan looked at the man with his collar casually thrown open, exuding a somewhat roguish aura. He looked like a playboy, and she found it hard to believe.

“What’s wrong?” Rocky Luo chuckled, “Isn’t he handsome?”

“Very good!” Yang Ruolan’s eyes blazed with anger as she slowly nodded, “Chu Yang, do you still remember what good deeds you did three days ago?”

“Good deeds... hehehe,” Rocky Luo felt a stirring in his heart; indeed, she had come seeking revenge. “I’ve done quite a lot, you know. Oh dear, I’m the type who does good deeds without any desire for recognition, lofty ideals, never asking for anything in return...”

Yang Ruolan was immediately infuriated, “You started it and abandoned her, tarnished her reputation, and are utterly heartless! You’re guilty of heinous crimes and have lost all conscience! How can you be so shameless as to say such things?!”

Rocky Luo was taken aback, then spat, “Nonsense!”

Before he could finish, he felt a flash of white shadow, and the dignified woman in front of him had already glided close. His heart raced: so fast!

Just as he was about to dodge, he felt a tight grip on his neck; he had already been roughly seized.

Rocky Luo let out a cry, but before he could react, he received a flurry of slaps that sent his head swinging from side to side, disheveled in the wind.

With a loud thud, he was pushed down to the ground by a firm grip on his neck, then kicked repeatedly without touching the ground, enduring dozens of kicks before he could even scream.

With another thud, he was slammed down, a foot crushing his neck. Rocky Luo groaned as his face was pushed into the dirt, instantly filled with despair!

His limbs twitched slightly, rolling his only exposed white eye, making muffled sounds. His legs kicked out in a frenzy.

“I’ll make you heartless!” Yang Ruolan was furious, punching and kicking. With each hit came a curse.

“Senior, please stop! Let’s talk nicely…” Gu Duxing watched on the side, completely taken aback by the sudden, chaotic turn of events.

Before he could react, the situation had escalated; while suggesting a peaceful resolution, he had drawn his sword and rushed over in a panic.

Though he knew he was no match for this woman, he couldn’t just watch as his brother was bullied.

Yang Ruolan was even angrier in her heart: truly a pack of rogues!

With a fierce swing of her sleeve, she unleashed imperial-level power, her sleeve striking out like a giant steel plate.

With a hiss, Gu Duxing’s sword pierced through the sleeve, but he felt a pressure on his chest, as he was struck flying by an unmatched force!

Comparing an imperial-level expert to his current cultivation level was like the sun and moon beside fireflies. He was sent flying a dozen yards away, hitting the ground with a thud, standing up with his entire body aching.

Yet Yang Ruolan was also taken aback; this was the Yang Family’s unique skill, ‘Flowing Cloud Iron Sleeves.’ To think it was pierced by a mere sword king! Feeling the chilling sword intent from earlier, her heart raced.

The ten King Level experts from the Gu Family arrived simultaneously, surrounding them from all directions, ready to engage.

Gu Duxing was astonished, forcing himself to endure the pain, and shouted, “Everyone, don’t move! Senior, please stop! This is a misunderstanding... he…”

He understood well that if he truly angered this woman, it was likely that no one here would escape with their lives!

Yang Ruolan coldly snorted; her snort rang like thunder in everyone’s hearts, causing them to tremble. Gu Duxing’s words were abruptly cut off as he felt stars in his eyes.

“To dare act, yet not take responsibility!” Yang Ruolan looked down at the ‘Chu King of Hell’ beneath her foot, her disappointment palpable. “I truly feel sorry for my junior sister! A man like you is utterly unworthy!”

She kicked Rocky Luo away, pointing a finger at him. As her body floated backwards, she continued, “Today, I’ll spare your worthless life. But rest assured, someone will come to settle the score with you!”
