CHAPTER SIX: Meeting Chu Feiling for the First Time
Hmm, the news of the sudden appearance of a master from the Mo Family must be reported to the clan. It seems that the Mo Family has already begun to take action against my Dark Demon...
Li Wende clumsily got up, trembling with fear as he fled, not even bothering about the corpses of his subordinates...
At this moment, the person who was 'led away,' Chu Yang, was sitting cross-legged on a hillside in the woods, calmly absorbing the heaven and earth spiritual energy for cultivation.
Who was there to 'lead' him away? This guy was just indulging in theatrics. It was a simple provocation; and quite clumsy at that. Whether or not the Dark Demon fell for it... was that my concern?
The two families already had a grudge; they would fight to the death without any provocation. I’m simply providing them with an excuse to act. As for whether they retaliate or not, it doesn’t matter much to me. A mere second tier throne can be encountered and killed at any time; it’s no big deal to let them go. Of course, if this leads to a war between the two families, that would be even better...
"This young brother, do you have a grudge against the Mo Family?" A graceful voice suddenly rang out, seemingly right beside Chu Yang.
Startled, Chu Yang felt a chill run down his spine. The voice appeared without warning, and he had not sensed it beforehand. Even a ninth rank throne couldn’t achieve this, yet this person did!
Doesn’t that mean: the person’s strength is far beyond his own?
While sitting in meditation, Chu Yang's heart raced, almost making him jump up; but he controlled himself and calmly asked, “Who’s playing tricks here?”
A faint laugh echoed, and a blue-robed person materialized about three meters in front of Chu Yang, watching him with interest.
"Your swordplay is indeed impressive," the blue-robed person remarked upon seeing Chu Yang's composed expression.
"It’s you," Chu Yang’s eyes gleamed in the darkness.
"You remember me?" The person in blue seemed a little surprised.
"When I was gathering information at the inn, you appeared behind me for fifteen minutes. When you entered, someone was talking about the eight young masters." Chu Yang replied quietly, "After you entered, you chose a window seat, ordered two plates of vegetables, a dish of peanuts, a plate of beef, and a pot of wine. Throughout the meal, you didn’t speak a single word. Yet, you only finished a few peanuts, ate just three slices of beef, and drank only half a pot of wine. After you arrived, I had the entire inn booked... and no one else came in."
Chu Yang snorted. His memory could be said to be unparalleled, especially in a dangerous environment where the weak prey on the strong; how could he not be more observant? The actions of the blue-robed person were recounted by him without a single mistake.
"Your memory is truly admirable! Everything you said is spot on," the blue-robed person looked at him with a bit of surprise. It wasn’t strange that he remembered him, but astonishing that he could recall the details of what he ate and drank. "To be able to clearly remember such a trivial person among so many."
Chu Yang remained seated, his expression unchanged, "That’s no big deal. The problem is... are you here to repay my kindness of a meal?" He smiled and looked up, "That meal you had at the inn was paid for by me! I thought you came to return my favor."
"Your memory and self-control are astonishing! Upon meeting you, I can't help but feel a surge of admiration for talent," the blue-robed person sighed.
"Now, tell me your purpose; you shouldn’t be here just to chat." Chu Yang smiled faintly; the moment the blue-robed person appeared, he sensed that this person's cultivation was far beyond his own; but he had a strange feeling: this person wouldn’t harm him!
Such a feeling was unprecedented for Chu Yang in his two lifetimes!
Chu Yang himself found it puzzling: why? Why did he think this person wouldn’t harm him? Chu Yang, are you losing your mind? A stranger could easily crush you with a finger, and yet you conclude upon meeting that he wouldn’t harm you? This is insane!
