CHAPTER 30: In Life, Some Things Cannot Be Mistaken
Stone Thousand Mountain's expression changed. Chu Yang's words struck a nerve! He couldn't help but raise his head sharply, looking at Chu Yang, and asked solemnly, "What do you mean?"
"I mean, after you eat, you'll understand." Chu Yang looked at him, his gaze gradually turning cold, and leisurely said, "I want to see if the poison in this bowl of rice can kill someone. To be honest, I've always been curious about this!"
Stone Thousand Mountain's heart sank instantly. He forced a smile and said, "You, you must be joking!"
Chu Yang chuckled, "Is this joke not funny? Then let's make it entertaining!" Suddenly, he walked over to the bedside with the bowl and sat down with a thud, right on the part of Stone Thousand Mountain's severed thigh. With a crack, the bone that was about to heal was broken once again!
Stone Thousand Mountain let out a wail, his whole body convulsing with pain. Sweat the size of soybeans continuously beaded on his forehead, and his body curled up like a shrimp.
Just as he was about to scream, a piece of cotton that Chu Yang had pulled out from under the quilt was stuffed into his mouth. Chu Yang's movements were swift and decisive, without hesitation. In an instant, he completed the task; even a seasoned official from the public office would be hard-pressed to match his current fluidity.
Stone Thousand Mountain's scream was forcefully muffled, turning into a whimper in his throat. Unable to make a sound, he could only stare at Chu Yang with fear-filled eyes, shaking his head repeatedly as sweat poured down.
With one hand holding the bowl steady, Chu Yang didn't move an inch, but with the other hand, he gripped Stone Thousand Mountain's neck, leaning down to look him coldly in the eyes, and said gravely, "Stone Thousand Mountain, I didn't intend to kill you so soon! I'm not done venting my anger! Unfortunately, what you did today crossed my bottom line!"
Stone Thousand Mountain groaned lowly, his eyes filled with rage and fear. He struggled desperately, but it only aggravated his wound, causing more sweat to pour out.
"Stone Thousand Mountain, let's not talk about how you treated me and Tan Tan over the years! Eight years ago, your family was robbed at Broken Cloud Mountain, and your lives were in the hands of the bandits, facing imminent death. Your own sister was also about to suffer humiliation at the hands of the robbers. It was Master who happened to pass by, saving your family and preserving your sister's honor! After that, your family knelt down and begged, and Master, seeing your good talent, took you as a disciple, teaching you martial arts and knowledge. You not only showed no gratitude but today even poisoned Master, wanting to kill him?? Are you even human?"
Chu Yang roared in a low voice, "You are simply heartless!"
A look of shame flashed in Stone Thousand Mountain's eyes, but it quickly disappeared as he looked at Chu Yang with hatred, his eyes filled with a desire to devour him. He showed no signs of regret! Suddenly, he coughed violently, and a rush of blood surged from his throat, forcefully expelling the cotton from his mouth with a loud 'puff.'
Blood splattered onto the quilt on his chest, creating a bloody mess. He glared at Chu Yang fiercely, yet he didn't even scream in pain.
"Chu Yang, don't pretend to be benevolent in front of me! It won't work. I have long since looked down on your methods!" Stone Thousand Mountain said in a deep voice, coughing, blood continuing to pour from his mouth as he bitterly remarked, "Am I ungrateful? So what? Do I want to poison you? So what? Am I ambitious and heartless? What of it?"
Stone Thousand Mountain gasped, his chest heaving: "...If it weren't for being implicated by you, Chu Yang, how would I have ended up with a broken leg and serious injuries? If I hadn't broken my leg, how would I have lost the opportunity in the summit competition? If I hadn't lost this opportunity, my life would not be so bleak! Everything is because of you, Chu Yang! I cannot coexist with you! As for Master... heh heh heh..."
