Two days after Ryo and his companions visited the Dazuru Government Office.
Ryo had been diligently writing something on an ice board with even more enthusiasm than usual, focusing on alchemy.
Just as always, Abel arrived swinging his sword.
At almost the same time, Ryo completed his work.
"You're really into that thing you’ve been working on since yesterday," Abel remarked.
"Hehehe, Abel, there are no problems in this world that can't be solved," Ryo replied confidently.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"The wisdom of humanity can even eliminate wars from the world and bring peace!"
"Is that so? How do you plan to do that?"
"If there is only one survivor left, both problems will be resolved!"
"O-okay, I guess that's one way to think about it..."
Abel reluctantly nodded at Ryo's confident answer, which he found hard to accept but couldn't deny was correct.
"Therefore, it's as easy as safely exploring ruins," Ryo added.
"Oh, those ruins, huh? Do you have a good idea?"
"Yes, here it is. Come forth, Assault Explorer No. 3!"
With that call, an ice golem about 1.5 meters tall was generated in front of Ryo.
The ice golem wore a fedora hat, known as a Fedora Hat.
It seemed to have a somewhat nihilistic appearance, but perhaps that perception was unique to Ryo.
"When you think of an explorer, you picture a fedora and a whip, right?"
It appeared to be one of Ryo's quirks.
"I see... But it doesn't have a whip, does it?" Abel pointed out.
"Unfortunately, with my current abilities, I couldn't create an ice whip using alchemy," Ryo replied with a regretful expression.
"Ah, this golem uses alchemy, so it won't get its magic control stolen."
"Ah, that's because it’s a monster skilled in water attribute magic like a kraken, and ordinary monsters won't be able to steal magical control!"
"Even on land, there might be monsters skilled in water attribute magic, you know?"
"I-I can't say there aren't..."
Ryo suddenly hesitated.
It reminded him of a battle against a monster that resembled a dragon skilled in water attribute magic.
The two they encountered on the ghost ship Luri...
"That was an exception!" he defended.
"Well... This one is Assault Explorer No. 3."
"Yes?"
"Explorer No. 1 has horns, right? Explorer No. 2 had a yellow cloth around its neck. Explorer No. 3 has... that hat."
"Yes, yes. Assault Explorer No. 3 is also a captain among the garden watchers."
Ryo patted Explorer No. 3 on the shoulder cheerfully.
"If it's a golem, then even if there are monsters that can rewrite memories, it shouldn't be a problem."
"Yes, yes, that's right."
Ryo continued to gleefully pat Explorer No. 3's shoulder in response to Abel's words.
"By the way, you used a golem for scouting when you were in Banban Kingdom, right? Was that an application of that?"
"Just as expected from Abel. Yes, while being on Ichiban Island, I used a golem to see the situation on Nibann Island and Sanban Island."
"Wasn't Ryo having a pretty tough time back then?"
"You remember well. That's why this time, I made something with alchemy."
As Ryo said that, something was generated on the ice table.
"The sync system with Assault Explorer No. 3, aptly named 'Ora Ora Lift!'"
It was something akin to a head-mounted display, based on Earth’s knowledge.
A tool worn on the head to see the images appearing before one’s eyes and operate them.
This time, the 'Ora Ora Lift' projected the scenery that Explorer No. 3 saw.
Ryo operated it remotely while viewing it.
"Is that what it's called, 'Ora Ora Lift'? That's unusual," Abel remarked.
"It was once created in my hometown, the Oculus Rift... No, I won’t say more. Out of respect, I named it. That is a masterwork of genius. Crafted by a certain genius alchemist."
Ryo nodded deeply in agreement with Abel's words.
No doubt, it was a turning point in human history.
Input, calculate, output... a series of processes in coexistence between humans and machines.
Input is voice input... eventually leading to direct connections with the brain and nerves.
Calculate... the computational components are smoothly being miniaturized.
