This is the story of Ryo and Abel venturing into the night of the City of Run, as featured in volume 2 of the light novel and volume 4 of the comic.
Since I was able to write a "better SS," I submitted that as a postcard SS.

"Abel, the job I was hired for was to find the useless knight order members, right?"
"Calling them useless knight order members is a bit harsh, but... yes, that's correct."
"However, what we ended up doing was dealing with dangerous intruders."
"Well, we did manage to fend them off."
In front of Ryo and Abel lay four adventurer-like individuals who had attacked them but were now knocked unconscious from the counterattack.
"I think this is a breach of contract."
"Breach of contract?"
"Since we took on work outside of the contract, we will incur separate charges from what we were initially paid. Therefore, about those alchemy tools we confiscated earlier... I won't ask for them, but I would like to take a look."
"Oh... can you tell just by looking at them?"
"Probably not."
"Hey..."
Abel seemed to have been expecting a bit more.
He frowned when Ryo responded that he didn’t understand.
"Abel, the pinnacle of alchemy is far beyond reach. There’s no way I could grasp it easily since I'm just starting to learn!"
"You’re either too humble or just boastful; it's quite busy."
"No, it’s not like that."
"I'm not complimenting you."
Saying that, Abel handed over a small box-shaped alchemy tool.
Ryo accepted it and looked at it happily. He flipped it over... examined it as is, lifted it up, and looked at it from below.
He studied it thoroughly and intensely.
"Thank you very much."
"So, did you understand anything?"
"Yes, as expected, I didn’t understand anything."
"I see, just as I predicted."
The pinnacle of alchemy was, as expected, far too high.
"It must be a communication tool. It might only be capable of sending messages."
"You understand that much."
"In such cases, there are often such patterns."
"Patterns..."
Also known as meta reasoning.
"If you say something that sounds plausible, it tends to be correct."
"Yeah, so from now on, I guess I shouldn't trust Ryo's words."
"Abel, those who believe will be saved, you know? You should trust me."
"Isn’t it strange that the more someone says to trust themselves, the less trustworthy they seem..."
"Must be Abel's twisted personality..."
"I don't want to hear that from you, Ryo!"
In the end, it feels like Ryo and Abel are quite similar, but that might just be my imagination...

Finally, Ryo and Abel return to the Central Nations...

The ninth volume of the novel, "Water Attribute Mage, Part 2: Western Nations Arc II," will include several new episodes.
In the end, Ryo will finally engage in the〇〇 battle...
Ultimately, it should have almost 100,000 additional words.
There are many corrections as well...
There are parts that were touched upon in the [Narou version] but were not collected...
I wonder how many readers noticed such details.
