"Everyone, thank you for your hard work."
Prince Willy, the eighth prince of the Juu Kingdom, addressed the staff and knights who had defended the embassy.
While many noble residences were shattered by the suddenly appearing abominations, the Juu Kingdom Embassy did not allow itself to be violated until the very end.
Of course, the location of the embassy had a significant impact on this outcome.
The area that suffered the most damage was the Noble District on the north side of the royal capital.
In particular, the region stretching from the north to the northwest was affected the most.
To the north lay the knight order's barracks, which had been the initial site of the outbreak, and to the northwest was the elf autonomous bureau.
The damage in those areas was catastrophic.
In contrast, the Juu Kingdom Embassy was built to the east of the Central Sanctuary, just on the edge of what could be considered the Noble District.
Given its location, it was a place where a major nation would typically not build an embassy, but in this instance, it turned out to be fortunate, so it was quite a peculiar situation.
Still, looking around, there was indeed a fair amount of damage, so it could be said that it wasn't only the location but also the efforts of the embassy staff that prevented it from being trampled.
Prince Willy himself happened to be stationed at the embassy that day to greet guests from the Naitorei Kingdom's royal family.
Originally, he was supposed to start attending the academy that day, but it was abruptly changed to two days later.
That turned out to be a stroke of luck.
The academy was located quite near the Central Sanctuary.
If he had been at the academy... thinking about it made Prince Willy truly grateful that he had stayed at the embassy.
Furthermore, it was thanks to the royal family's guests that he hadn't gone to the academy... he silently thanked those guests in his heart.
The guest from the royal family, the crown prince of the Naitorei Kingdom, had just returned to the royal palace in a carriage.
"Those were incredibly precise instructions..."
The crown prince's rapid-fire directives were something that Prince Willy observed closely, and he found them very instructive.
"I will need to visit the castle to express my gratitude once things settle down."
At that moment, Prince Willy's mind wandered to the safety of the acquaintances he had in the royal capital.
That said, he still had very few acquaintances.
"My teacher... should be fine. I can only imagine a scene where he annihilates hundreds of them in an instant."
What came to Willy's mind was his "teacher," Suzuka.
For Willy, who could use water attribute magic, he was truly a mentor.
However, Willy had never actually witnessed Suzuka annihilating enemies... he had never seen it, but he already had an image in his mind that he could easily achieve such feats.
"So, I'm sure he will be okay."
With that thought, he nodded once.
"Next is... Mr. Corn."
The adventurer who had provided escort from the Duchy of Inberri.
He had been told that he could freely use the Juu Kingdom Embassy, but after receiving his reward, Willy had not seen him even once.
Perhaps he was no longer in the royal capital.
"Well, if that's the case, then he managed to avoid the damage this time, so that's good."
Thinking this, Willy shook his head several times and looked outside.
