Chapter 19: Forming a Team
Ignoring the clueless Xia Youhui, Luo Fei turned to Chen Chu and suggested, “It’s almost noon, shall we go eat together?”
“The dining hall in the martial cultivation district is different from the liberal arts side; they offer an exotic beast meat dish every day,” she continued.
Chen Chu’s curiosity was piqued. “Exotic beast meat? How does it taste compared to regular meat?”
“There’s not much of a difference in taste; it’s just chewier and contains richer nutrients since the dining hall serves only ordinary raised exotic beasts.”
As she spoke, Luo Fei tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
At that moment, the office door opened in the distance, and Pang Long glanced at the three of them. “It’s still a bit early for lunch. Chen Chu, come over and sign some agreements.”
“... Okay, teacher.” Not knowing what he was signing, Chen Chu nodded at Luo Fei and Xia Youhui before following Pang Long into the office.
“This is the ‘Law prohibiting cultivators from using force to threaten or harm ordinary people,’ and this is the commitment letter for the prohibition of sharing martial arts techniques.”
“And this is the ‘Weapon Management Treaty for Students,’ and these are the ‘Daily Guidelines for Cultivators,’ and ‘Guidelines for Acting Justly when Encountering Unfair Situations’…”
As he spoke, Pang Long handed Chen Chu various documents from his desk.
Some were regulations to sign, while others were points to pay attention to after becoming a school cultivator, including weapon management, etc.
There were so many documents that even Chen Chu felt overwhelmed.
Seeing his distressed expression, Pang Long chuckled. “I didn’t say you had to read them all at once. You can take them home after school today and look them over slowly; just hand them back to me tomorrow.”
“Alright, teacher.” Chen Chu finally relaxed.
Pang Long nodded. “I’ve looked over your foundation establishment data; it’s good. Have you chosen your martial arts technique yet?”
“Yes.” Chen Chu nodded.
Pang Long reminded him, “Since you’ve chosen, after lunch, go to the logistics department to collect your cultivation resources. You need to get started early.”
“Remember, foundation establishment isn’t just about strengthening your physique; it also changes your constitution to a certain extent, allowing you to be more attuned to extraordinary energy.”
“Next, you just need to cultivate true martial arts and transport your vital energy to absorb external extraordinary energy to strengthen yourself.”
“In the days following your foundation establishment, your body will be in a sensitive and active state towards extraordinary energy, which will enhance your cultivation efficiency.”
Chen Chu was slightly taken aback, not expecting there to be so much to it.
No wonder Xia Youhui and the others were out of sight for such a long time after completing their foundation establishment.
“Thank you for the reminder, teacher.” Chen Chu expressed his gratitude.
Pang Long replied lightly, “This is what I’m supposed to do. If you have any questions about cultivating in the future, feel free to ask me. I will be here every morning.”
As Chen Chu exited the office, he saw Xia Youhui, Luo Fei, Lin Xue, and another male and female student chatting about something.
Xia Youhui beamed, “A Chu, you’re out! Let’s go eat, and I’ll also mention something to you.”
Chen Chu glanced at Lin Xue and the others and nodded slightly. “Sure.”
………
The dining hall in the cultivation district was on the thirtieth floor. The taste was similar to that in the liberal arts area, but the portions were significantly larger and mostly consisted of meat dishes.
Additionally, there were quite a few people there.
There were nearly fifty classes in the first year, and many of these classes had a number of students who had broken through, with the third class having around ten, while the smaller classes had about five or six.
