CHAPTER 18: Heavy Weapons
After reading the introductions to all the techniques, Chen Chu leaned back on the sofa and pondered slightly.
He discovered that all the techniques only had three levels, with a cultivation limit of three heavens. This was the limitation of low-level techniques.
Since there were low-level techniques, there must be high-level or even top-level techniques, which are generally unattainable to ordinary people and require higher permissions.
Permissions are correlated with the time they break through foundation establishment; the faster the breakthrough, the higher the initial permissions.
No wonder Lin Xue and the others, who already had good talents, were willing to consume a large amount of resources to quickly break through foundation establishment; they should have known about permissions long ago.
Thinking of this, Chen Chu recalled the day Xia Youhui deliberately waited for him and told him that blood resources could replenish vitality and accelerate cultivation.
At that time, Xia Youhui might have been hinting not only at taking care of his health but also subtly suggesting he use money to buy resources to speed up his foundation establishment.
Unfortunately, even if Xia Youhui had clearly stated it at that time, Chen Chu wouldn’t have been able to do anything about it.
Because he had no money, and his qualifications were poor to begin with; the only reason he could break through within half a month was due to his clone's evolution and the solidification of attributes and proficiency.
Lost in thought, Chen Chu's attention returned to the selection of techniques.
Each of these techniques had its own tendencies, but they could be broadly divided into two categories: main body cultivation and weapon techniques.
The main body cultivation techniques were further divided into those focused on strength, defense, explosive speed, and short-distance movement techniques, while the weapon category was much more diverse.
However, no matter what type of weapon, Chen Chu found them to be excessively exaggerated.
For example, the sword technique, Sword Technique Method, required that the chosen sword not be shorter than 1.5 meters and not exceed 2 meters in length.
Seriously, a two-meter sword is already a giant sword, right?
Then there was the Hammer Technique for cultivating the meteor hammer, which suggested that the hammerhead alone should weigh 100 kilograms; otherwise, it wouldn’t unleash its full power. The heavier the weapon, the better.
In addition, several sword techniques were no exception, the most exaggerated being a knife technique called the Heavenly Overlord's Ten Slashes, which required a knife to be three meters long and half a meter wide.
What is this? It’s basically a door panel.
However, since the purpose of creating these techniques was to deal with mutated beasts, Chen Chu somewhat understood.
After all, those mutated beasts were several meters or even tens of meters in size; if the weapon was too small, wouldn’t it just be scratching them?
Contemplating, Chen Chu ultimately chose a main cultivation technique, the dragon elephant skill, a knife technique, the mind's eye bright blade, with a suggested weapon length of two meters.
After confirming his cultivation techniques, Chen Chu let out a sigh of relief.
Choosing techniques was quite troublesome; although all these techniques were low-level, they felt good, and as long as he could disregard light firearms, they would be fine.
Moreover, each technique was designed to maximize a certain advantage of the person’s body, specifically born for slaughter.
Next came the exchange for the materials to cultivate his techniques.
Indeed, true martial techniques were very powerful, but they were also intricate to cultivate; many body cultivation techniques needed matching resources to get started.
For example, to start practicing the dragon elephant skill, one needed to smear the blood of a mutated beast called the dominant elephant on their body during cultivation to gain some characteristics of an elephant.
