The Clone Under Surveillance
Boom!
Accompanied by a massive wave bursting skywards, the Thunder Flame Giant Beast vanished instantaneously from the sea surface.
Upon entering the water, the Thunder Flame Giant Beast immediately sensed something different.
It felt more agile now, almost doubling its previous speed, with every flick of its tail propelling it far through the water.
There was an invisible layer of force on its body acting like a lubricant, reducing water resistance.
Additionally, the dorsal fins on its back, which could store, convert, and generate electricity, emitted weak electrical waves.
These waves, almost undetectable, spread out like radar, covering a range of several hundred meters. When they touched an object or creature, they would trigger a response.
These weak waves would then reflect back, sensed by the cells on its dorsal fins, transmitting information to its brain.
Combined with the perception of water flow from its feathered horns, this became a third method of detection, allowing the Thunder Flame Giant Beast to monitor its surroundings in all directions.
In this state, almost no mutated creatures could surprise it. Any approach within a certain range would be detected unless the creature existed in another dimension.
This change thrilled the Thunder Flame Giant Beast, which swam swiftly through the ocean, disappearing into the depths in the blink of an eye.
At the moment the Thunder Flame Giant Beast surged forth, alarms suddenly blared at a coastal monitoring base hundreds of kilometers away as personnel hurried to respond.
“Report, detected a high-energy reaction 170 kilometers off the coast, coordinates 735, latitude 4°175, longitude 98°169 on the sea surface.”
“Have we mobilized satellite surveillance?”
“Yes, we instantly redirected three nearby high-resolution satellites, but due to weather and night conditions, only captured a few blurry images.”
On the workers' report, three large images appeared on the big screen, showing the Thunder Flame Giant Beast standing on a wrecked island from different angles.
However, as staff mentioned, the images were somewhat blurry.
The screen showed a black-red creature standing in a thunder domain, its flaming halo on its head illuminating the surrounding sea.
Because of the darkness, only the rough outline of a long-bodied, flame-bathed black mutated creature was visible.
Yet, even with blurry images, everyone could feel an invisible pressure emanating from it.
“What about other data?”
“Comparing the position and surroundings, this mutated beast is between 23 to 27 meters in length, shoulder height of 4 to 6 meters, with peak energy bursts reaching the seventh-level peak.”
A middle-aged man with the rank of major general immediately looked grave and said in a deep voice, “This should be a newly upgraded mutated beast, and one with king potential.”
“This mutated beast is terrifying; just its freshly upgraded energy burst has reached the seventh-level peak. Its trajectory suggests it's heading towards the open sea.”
“Classify this mutated beast's data as top secret, lock the images, and keep satellites on alert for any surface appearance in the ocean.”
“Hopefully, its final destination is those deep-sea channels and not causing trouble in the human world.”
With the general's command, among the densely packed satellites in outer space, a dozen subtly adjusted their positions, focusing on this sea area.
Meanwhile, far above, some enormous objects floated quietly in higher orbits.
