Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

The Espada and the villagers were building the defensive walls, Dee and the others along with Ort were gathering wood, and I was constructing houses with Til and Kamushin.
Huh? I originally wanted to make furniture for myself, so how did it come to this...?
Using the gathered wood, I first made wooden blocks. It was difficult to transform the material and shape from just raw wood, after all.
So, like an assembly line, I started by making wooden blocks, and once enough materials accumulated, I moved on to building houses.
I gradually got used to it, and the production of wooden blocks picked up considerably. I received logs, broken house walls, doors, and quickly turned them into wooden blocks.
After about an hour, we had produced nearly enough wooden blocks for an entire house.
“All right, let’s first build a house for Dee and the others who don’t have one. Next, Ort’s place. Then Fura’s house. After that, Inka’s house…”
As I planned the order, I felt the sinking mood of a corporate drone, but once I started, I couldn’t stop.
Dee and the others’ house might better double as their barracks since they were soldiers. A training ground would be impossible, but a weapons and armor storage would be necessary.
A medium-sized room and two smaller rooms. Then a dining hall, a bathroom, and a break room with direct outside access. The warehouse should be rather large.
With that plan, the building ended up the same size as the lord’s manor. Well, with the warehouse space, it couldn’t be helped.
“Ah, deputy commander! It’s finished!”
“Wow!”
Just as if on cue, Dee and the others returned. They looked up at their newly completed house, their eyes sparkling.
“O-oh…! How magnificent! Truly worthy of Lord Van!”
“Well, there was a moment when I wondered how it would turn out... Marching training never involves camping out for more than half a year, after all.”
One knight muttered that unintentionally, and another knight nudged him on the head to silence him.
He openly mocked my territory, the impudent one. What do you mean camping out? This is far better.
Watching closely, Knight A, the playful Arb, gave a deep salute and shouted, “I’m sorry!” Well, that’s fine, but you owe everyone an apology, okay?
Then Knight B, the serious Row, also gave a deep salute and shouted, “Please forgive us!” But he hadn’t said anything, right?
“Apologize to the villagers by collecting lots of wood,” I told them.
Arb and Row shouted back loudly and sprinted off like arrows.
Meanwhile, Dee seemed to be inspecting around the house and approached me in a good mood.
“No, it’s truly magnificent! I’m astonished by Lord Van’s magical power, but equally by the knowledge to build such a splendid mansion!”
Dee said that, then noticed his subordinates were gone.
“Hm? Where did they go?”
Tilting his eyes to look around, Dee was pointed toward the village entrance by me.
“I told them that I want the villagers to live in such fine houses, and they went to gather wood.”
When I said that, Dee’s eyes widened in surprise.
“W-what! They did such a thing? I never expected they’d grow up so much without realizing it... All right, I’ll go gather wood too!”
Dee was moved and about to run off, so I stopped him.
“There’s only one cart, right? It’ll be hard to catch up now. Dee, stay and help defend the village.”
“Hmmm… That’s true, we don’t have enough strength for defense. Then I’ll stay and help with the defensive wall construction.”
With that, Dee joined the building of the village defenses.
Thanks to the Espada’s power, the defensive walls were completed that very day, and Ort’s house was also finished.
Ort’s house was kept minimal. Well, each had a private room, so it was still fairly luxurious.
Since we had some spare time, I also built a simple bathhouse next to the lord’s manor. I just wanted to have a bath, but when the women heard about it, they jumped in joy.
By the way, the bathtub boiler was made of steel. Pluriel used water magic to fill it, and a fire was lit under the floor to heat the water — a retro-style setup, basically a Goemon bath.
