As we planned to build a new store in the adventurers' town, Kamushin and the others were selecting people who seemed capable of managing the shop, but it was taking time, and they still hadn’t returned.
We also asked the Bell Rango Trading Company to open new branches, and right away, Rango was walking around accompanied by what appeared to be apprentice merchants.
"We’ll open a store here for food and daily necessities. We can share inventory to some extent with the main store, but this branch will need to handle procurement and inventory management independently. Negotiations with the mary trading company will be held with representatives from both the main and branch stores. On the opposite side, we plan to open a store for buying and selling raw materials. That place will always be bustling with people, but don’t worry—we’ll send reinforcements from the main store. Also, orders for cheap weapons and armor have increased, so we’ll prepare a shop for armor and weapons as well. Because there will be coordination with headquarters, half of the staff there will be from headquarters. Any questions so far?"
Rango explained everything confidently, then looked around at the apprentices. Their ages and genders varied, but everyone quickly raised their hands and spoke up.
"Regarding the raw material purchases, how many employees will there be?"
"We’re thinking five for purchasing, three for sales, one store manager, and one assistant manager."
"Most adventurers probably stay in this town. Wouldn’t it be better to reduce staff at the main store and concentrate them here?"
"If it’s not enough, we’ll send reinforcements, but basically, we’re not considering changing the number of staff. Those in a hurry can go to the main store, and precious materials like dragons will only be handled at the main store. Also, the adventurers' guild said they would increase their staff for dismantling, so the personnel taken from us should soon decrease."
Rango answered the questions accurately, giving off a very capable and professional vibe.
"Yes?"
I raised my hand on a whim, and Rango turned, eyes wide. The apprentice merchants around us also stared with surprise.
"The weapons and armor I’ve been making stop being supplied when I’m sent off to war, right? In that case, do you have replacements ready?"
At that question, Rango's face twitched.
"...We’re transporting supplies and food for the war here, so the idea is to load the weapons you make onto the return wagons..."
"Isn’t that cruel? You want me to make weapons even while on a business trip? I’d die."
"Yeah... so, I guess we’ll have to replenish the stock while you’re back at Seato Village..."
I sighed, shoulders slumping at Rango’s answer.
"So, I really have no choice but to work... Were there no people among the newcomers who can use production-type magic?"
"No, there aren't. Also, I showed it to someone who does blacksmithing, but he said duplication is impossible."
"Yeah, that makes sense."
I hung my head at Rango’s words. It’s understandable, but as a lord, I already have to do carpentry and flood control projects. Adding weapon production on top of that would be quite tough.
In this packed schedule, demons and devils are also making me train in swordsmanship and studies.
Somehow, I have to break this negative chain.
"Alright. Let’s quickly prepare carpenters, blacksmiths, and furniture makers! Especially blacksmiths—we need the best skills. I think there were some experienced people, but what happened with them?"
"Well, the blacksmith workshops haven’t been completed yet. Even those with carpentry experience have never built a furnace..."
Rango said this with a troubled look. For now, we’ve been buying the highest quality weapons from the mary trading company to stockpile, but ideally, I want to produce standout weapons in my own territory.
