In the reception room of the lord’s manor, three people sat with faces as if their souls had been drained. Apollo, Diane, and Rosalie occupied finely decorated single-seat sofas.

Though the three did not realize it, this reception room was the most luxurious and resplendent room in Seato Village. Not only the lighting, furniture, and decor, but even the walls, floors, and window frames were meticulously crafted.

However, there were no maids in the room, and on the side tables next to each sofa were fruit juices and pancakes, served on silver dishes.

Still seated comfortably on the sofa, Rosalie looked at the other two and spoke.

“...I still can’t believe it, but this is a frontier village that was judged to be worthless, right?”

She muttered softly. At her words, Diane furrowed her brows and looked up.

“If you say that now, it really makes me feel useless… The information the trading company has is about the frontier villages from the past. I will prepare the information from the moment Lord Van became the lord as soon as I return to the capital city. Also, we should prepare to regularly send caravans to this village. The Bell Rango Trading Company seems to be doing their best, but they’re nowhere near catching up.”

With a sigh, Diane answered and then smiled wryly.

“Besides the astonishing development of this village, I was most surprised by Lord Van’s magic. Not just his use of magic, but that creativity is abnormal. Even excluding the fact he is not even ten years old, is it possible to come up with such innovative and practical ideas?”

Diane’s expression showed traces of regret, as if confessing. Apollo folded his arms and lowered his chin.

“...Especially the shape of these walls and the many defensive weapons. Lord Van seems very gentle, but his talents are clearly suited for warfare. If Lord Van decides to, it wouldn’t be impossible for the country he supports to gain supremacy.”

“That’s a bit too much...”

Diane and Rosalie turned their faces toward Apollo with a wry smile at his words, but realizing this was no joking matter, they fell silent.

Watching this, Apollo let out a deep sigh.

“A newly established trading company colluding with frontier nobles to make a little money... It would have been less troublesome if that had been true. The results of this investigation cannot be casually disclosed. Yet we cannot simply ignore it.”

Diane nodded in response to Apollo’s words.

“Of course. However, as a commerce guild, if we want to establish roots on this continent, there’s no choice but to build a good relationship with Lord Van. Our Mary Trading Company also intends to maintain a good relationship with him.”

Diane smiled faintly as she spoke, and Apollo shook his head with a wry smile.

“...It would be a little frustrating if things go exactly as Mary Trading Company wishes, but cooperating is the most prudent course. From what I’ve heard from Lord Van, most necessities are self-supplied. What remains are seasonings, foods from other regions, and goods from other cultures. With someone as imaginative as him, he would be drawn to items that stimulate his creativity. That is precisely the area where our commerce guild, which trades with various countries, excels.”

Placing a hand over his chest, Apollo declared this, and Diane imitated him, placing her hand over her own chest.

“And since we have the most distribution routes and caravans in the kingdom, we can smoothly assist the commerce guild in business. Well, transporting goods from Seato Village to other countries might cost a little more.”

“...Understood.”

As the two exchanged these words, there was a knocking on the door as if timed perfectly.

A voice came from outside, and Apollo and the others instinctively turned toward the door. Opening it revealed a former slave maid. She bowed quietly and spoke.
