Ye Zhongming picked the perfect moment to act, which stemmed from his ten years of desperate life during the apocalypse.
He started moving as soon as he attacked with his spear, grabbing the bag while others were entangled with each other, buying himself time. He even calculated the attacks he would face after obtaining the bag.
As gunshots rang out, Ye Zhongming anticipated them, dodging ahead of time. After rolling on the ground a few times, he found himself behind a fluorescent green monster that had already dealt with the water element. Although his movements were clumsy, all the bullets fired by Li Shujun were blocked by this monster.
Despite retreating repeatedly to evade the monster's powerful punches, Ye Zhongming managed to avoid the attacks from the only threat in the square for the time being. Using the fluorescent green monster as cover, he hopped and dashed into a nearby street.
Wang Ding's eyes gleamed with ferocity, and he felt a surge of frustration. Today, he had already been humiliated by someone and forced to risk his life against the strongest monster. Now, it seemed that his precious bag was snatched away again, further igniting his anger.

Due to the earlier swift combat, the rest of the special forces team had only just arrived. With Wang Ding’s command, they were instructed to block the muscular man and his two companions while he chased after the direction Ye Zhongming had fled.
In the square, the muscular man fell to the ground, coughing up blood several times before feeling a bit better. He touched his chest, which had already caved in slightly. Although being a strongman gave him immense power, it didn't grant him excellent defensive capabilities. A punch from a two-star evolver, even without full force due to the suddenness, was enough to severely injure him.
"Ali, Xiao Tong?" The muscular man struggled to get up, swaying as he attempted to check on his two companions. Suddenly, he heard footsteps and instinctively turned his head, only to see the group that had been hiding and shooting run out, aiming their triggers at him.
"Deng Ge, get down!"
Unbeknownst to him, the spear wielder had stood up. Upon seeing the muscular man in danger, he shouted and rushed over without a second thought.
Although half of his face was crushed and one eye was bleeding, the spear wielder was still a one-star evolver. This attack, while it left him severely injured, did not take his life. At full speed, he managed to tackle the muscular man just before Li Shujun’s group could attack.
The gunfire erupted immediately.
These people weren't targeting the muscular man but rather the special forces members rushing towards them.
"Li Shujun, are you crazy?!"
Caught off guard, one special forces member had his head blown off, and the others quickly dodged, with one angrily scolding Li Shujun.
"You guys are the crazy ones, I'm perfectly clear-headed!"
The company president's face was filled with madness as he and his subordinates fired wildly, shooting not only at the special forces but also at the muscular man's group.
"Deng Ge!"
Xiao Tong, who had just recovered her breath, saw the muscular man roll over after being shot, and a Light Blade flew out, slicing one of Li Shujun's subordinates in half.
The power of the Light Blade attack was terrifying. Seeing one of their companions suddenly cut in two, Li Shujun's group shook in fear and instinctively began to retreat. As they did, the special forces members closed in, these soldiers filled with resentment launching a furious counterattack against the traitorous group.
The muscular man, Deng Ge, stood up, clutching his arm. After cursing loudly, he charged alongside the spear wielder. Despite their injuries, they were professionals, much stronger than ordinary one-star evolvers. In just about ten seconds, after Ali suffered another abdominal injury, they managed to kill Li Shujun’s group in the square.
