It is difficult to describe Ye Zhongming's feeling when he 'saw' this humanoid life form.
First, he confirmed that it was definitely not a human.
It had three legs, arranged in an equilateral triangle, and its upper body also had three arms, spaced evenly on its cylindrical torso.
The only feature that was somewhat acceptable to humans was its face, which bore a resemblance to human features.
Next, Ye Zhongming noticed that he felt an exceptionally intense energy fluctuation from this humanoid life form, powerful enough to be described as surging.
This energy was somewhat familiar to Ye Zhongming; it seemed similar to the blazing flame combat technique and, upon closer thought, it also resembled the flavor of great thousand soul refining technique at times.
Perhaps, it was similar to the unique secret techniques found within the secret realm.
Finally, Ye Zhongming felt that this humanoid life form could truly see him.
Unfortunately, his soul was still drifting, and perhaps in a moment, it would leap out from here, returning to the sky above the secret realm.
“Come back… find me!”
Just as Ye Zhongming reappeared in the sky, his soul received this message.
Return to find him? Did he know that he would come back? Even if he knew he would return to the secret realm, why did he want to find himself? What kind of creature was he? Why was he at the bottom of the Sacred Pool in the Royal City? How could he see Ye Zhongming's soul? Who tied him there? What was his purpose in doing this?
A series of questions flooded Ye Zhongming’s mind, and after thinking for a long time, he found no clues at all.
In a daze, he felt something unusual below, and when he focused his gaze, he was astonished to see… a town.
Indeed, it was a town; although its architectural style was vastly different from that of humans, it was unmistakably a gathering area suitable for human habitation!
Moreover, he saw many humans moving about in the town.
This was…
Only moments ago, he had seen the impoverished and backward posthumous children living in the belly of the mountain, and now he was suddenly witnessing such traces of human civilization, which felt like an abrupt leap from a slave society to a feudal society, leaving him both unadapted and amazed.
The surroundings were still covered in ice and snow, proving that the entire Blue Secret Realm was in the cold season, yet why could these humans operate outdoors?
Ye Zhongming observed closely and discovered that the entire town was enveloped in a layer of transparent light hood. If it weren't for Ye Zhongming's soul perception remaining sharp, he might not have noticed this at all.
He looked at the thickness of the snow outside and then at the clean and decent streets in the town. It seemed this hood was indeed protecting the residents living within the town.
This must be the territory of the Temple of Dawn.
Ye Zhongming thought that only the followers of the Temple of Dawn, who were undeniably much more powerful than the posthumous children, could build such a permanent settlement, enabling a light barrier that even Ye Zhongming did not know about to protect the people living here.
Soon, his soul drifted past and continued forward. More towns appeared, although only a few had a scale similar to the first one he saw. It dawned on Ye Zhongming that the town in his mind might be perceived by the people here as a vast city, and the first town he saw should be an outskirts town within the Temple of Dawn's domain!
Whether it was an illusion or not, Ye Zhongming felt that the temperature here seemed to be a bit higher than that among the posthumous children.
After drifting for a while, Ye Zhongming realized that his soul felt slightly lighter and discovered that the number of dark life forms emerging from the Sacred Pool had decreased again, now only half of what it was before.
This was the best news for Ye Zhongming.
Moments later, Ye Zhongming spotted a magnificent building.
The previous town's buildings were novel, but Ye Zhongming found them somewhat crude, or rather, a bit petty.
