Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 560: Connecting Asia 🌏

Published: February 8, 2025

When Ye Zhongming encountered the Sea King Crown, and when Guangyao and Mo Ye rushed towards the Golden Light Bridge, similar scenes unfolded in dozens of locations across Asia.

In Yokohama, Japan, millions of sea beasts were frantically attacking a massive structure's silhouette. Anyone familiar with Asian architectural history would recognize that this silhouette, the size of a small city, was a greatly exaggerated version of the Kamo Nige Shrine.

The city was in ruins, littered with skeletons, and no corpse remained intact. A city that once housed millions had dwindled to fewer than a hundred thousand in the year following the apocalypse, especially after experiencing the sea beast tide. The remaining people were being protected by these silhouettes.

However, it was evident that this formidable piece of equipment was on the verge of collapse. Given the furious attacks from so many sea beasts, it was astonishing that it had held out this long. If Ye Zhongming were here, he would certainly assess this equipment as at least purple grade! It might even be possible that it was a legendary seven-color weapon.

If Ye Zhongming were to step into the silhouette of the building at that moment, he would see over ten thousand people being connected to a computer-sized purple device by flesh-colored tubes inserted into their backs. Streams of radiant blood were being siphoned into the device, which unmistakably resembled the Kamo Nige Shrine.

An elderly man dressed in samurai attire leaned on a katana, glaring fiercely at the nearly frenzied sea beast tide outside, continuously shouting.

“Hold on, hold on! For the Yamato people, you are heroes!”

The old man's face was twisted, his eyes bloodshot, yet deep within his gaze lingered an extreme indifference. Occasionally, his eyes would sweep over his compatriots being drained of their blood and energy by the tubes extending from the purple device, as if he were looking at pigs or dogs.

A powerful sea beast’s innate skill crashed into the silhouette of the Kamo Nige Shrine, causing over a hundred people providing blood energy to shudder violently, blood spouting from their orifices, and they collapsed to the ground dead.

“It’s time to show your loyalty, time to be faithful to our beliefs,” the old man commanded, and immediately several individuals emerged to forcibly drag a group of survivors to the positions of the fallen, inserting the sharp tips of the flesh-colored tubes into their backs.

As for the deceased, they were roughly dragged by their feet and tossed aside.

The intensity of the sea beasts' attacks was increasing, with numerous formidable sea beast leaders personally joining the assault. The number of deaths within the silhouette of the Kamo Nige Shrine rose rapidly and frequently; in just a few minutes, thousands had bid farewell to this world, and the situation appeared to be escalating.

In one simultaneous attack from the sea beasts, over a thousand people died, and the silhouette of the Kamo Nige Shrine trembled violently, on the brink of shattering.

A beam of golden light crossed the endless ocean, landing among these humans. The silhouette that could block the sea beast tide at the cost of a thousand lives per minute had no effect against the suddenly appearing Golden Bridge.

Seeing the Golden Bridge, the old man laughed loudly, unable to conceal his excitement. He knew that his persistence had finally borne fruit. He drew his katana, letting out a roar that even he couldn't comprehend, and led his people into the realm of the Golden Bridge.

In Busan, Haeundae.

This beach in South Korea, which once inspired a disaster film, had now been overtaken by sea beasts, the rich scent of blood nearly hanging thick in the air.

Like the sea beast tides occurring in Cloud Port and Yokohama, this place had just been baptized by the sea beasts.

The difference was that Cloud Port and Yokohama were still holding strong, humanity still had a final line of defense.
