Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 2703: After the War (Part 1) ⚔️

Published: February 13, 2025

When the Flying Lizard Clan arrived, they were brimming with confidence, but when they retreated, they were utterly dejected.

Almost the entire clan participated, and in the end, aside from one severely injured peak-level member, they gained nothing.

Oh, wait, they did gain something: the gossip fodder for the All Races of the Universe, and their fame skyrocketed.

Three days later, an emergency general meeting of the Myriad Clans Assembly was convened. During the meeting, representatives from various races engaged in heated discussions, the topics revolving around the collective losses suffered by the Universe due to this battle, as well as serious concerns regarding future equipment manufacturing.

To put it simply, they wanted to divide the spoils.

The inheritance left behind by the dwarves was simply too tempting.

The wealth accumulated by a super clan over the years included, but was not limited to, Moon Age Gold, various materials, various finished products, and land and shop industries.

There was also the almost priceless supreme equipment manufacturing craftsmanship of the Universe.

As for the Divine Artisan City, which had already been entirely dismantled and removed, it was an immense fortune. Even recovering a fraction of it would mean possessing a horrifying war machine.

These prospects were incredibly enticing.

Even though the two leader races had already received warnings, it did not mean they would refrain from any actions that could benefit them.

They would collectively apply pressure and continuously test limits.

For this group of politicians, this tactic was second nature.

Even with Yao Han Su, Bei Yin, and Ye Zhongming participating in the meeting, they still felt overwhelmed by the pressure coming from all sides.

A few individuals were already discussing whether they should concede some benefits.

After all, while they still maintained considerable strength, it was still insufficient compared to the entire Universe.

After two full days of back-and-forth debates, the Su Clan Alliance finally made concessions.

However, it was evident that conditions like enjoying discounts on future weapon and equipment manufacturing and formation disk sales would not satisfy these people.

They wanted the divine level equipment left by the dwarves, they wanted living dwarf artisans, and they wanted certain rare treasures left in the dwarf warehouses...

Naturally, Yao Han Su and the others would not budge.

The two sides engaged in round after round of bargaining, and by the end, Ye Zhongming was left with a headache, feeling increasingly irritable, and nearly wanted to flip the table several times.

But he knew he didn’t have the standing to do so.

Just because he didn’t, didn’t mean others wouldn’t, so unable to tolerate it any longer, Ye Zhongming called upon the Old Dean.

Once the elder took a seat, in terms of seniority, there was no one higher than him, after all, he had lived the longest.

In terms of strength, few could match him, and even if there were a couple that could spar with the Old Dean, they likely wouldn’t dare expend their life energy, wanting to live a few more days.

Thus, in a situation where a falling out was impossible, the Old Dean used his absolute personal strength to crush the politicians, ultimately securing the best conditions for the Su Clan Alliance.

Roughly, these included discounts on future weapon and equipment aspects, some technology exchanges, and the public auction of five pieces of divine level spoils.

As the Old Dean left the Myriad Clans Assembly with Ye Zhongming, Yao Han Su, and others, a sense of defeat rose in the hearts of the representatives from various clans.

Many of them felt a sense of disorientation within this defeat, a feeling of the era changing.

...

When the senior officials returned to the battlefield of the Divine Artisan City, the cleanup efforts were already nearing completion; almost everything that could be moved had been transported away, leaving only the headaches.
