Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 2671: The Battle of Divine Artisan City (Twenty-One) ⚔️

Some parts of the battle armor extended shooting ports that were not too long. Rodir Yan shielded some of these with his arm, and within his visor, several detection modules were frantically operating, attempting to locate and track Ana's position.

However, the light barrier in front of him kept beeping incessantly but failed to achieve its purpose.

Clearly, it might be a problem within this field, or perhaps Ana's movements were simply too fast for the dwarves' most advanced technology to capture her image.

Rudir Yan was not bothered by this. After making some preparations, he began to move quickly.

Naturally, he could not reach the same level as Ana, but a peak expert moves at a very fast speed as well, resulting in significantly fewer Light Slashes directed at him.

The battle armor, made from an unknown material, displayed exceptional defense, showing little sign of damage despite suffering so many Light Slashes.

This situation lasted for a few seconds, and Rodir Yan returned to the center of the field. With a roar, the armor suddenly unleashed a dense array of shooting ports filled with energy to begin its attack, and countless beams of light instantly filled the space created by the great void capture technique.

If he couldn’t find her, then he would attack indiscriminately.

Rudir Yan's solution was simple but effective.

Ana appeared to the side, and it was evident that these beams had a significant impact on her.

After this exchange, both of them paused, looking at each other and preparing for the next bout.

Ana was the first to strike, enlarging one hand and slapping towards Rodir Yan like the Buddha's palm, while simultaneously emitting a sharp screech, sending massive mental energy surging forward.

Rudir Yan was unafraid, lifting the hand holding the metal staff, which shot out a burst of energy, while the other hand tilted downward, and the armored glove at his fingertips emitted five long energy strands.

With a pop, the palm and the energy burst collided, and unexpectedly, the energy burst easily passed through the giant palm.

Rudir Yan was taken aback; he hadn't expected this. The next moment, he was sent flying by the lightning-fast giant palm.

At the same time, he felt dizzy, with a warm flow trickling from his nostrils, but he recovered in an instant.

The dwarves were not adept at mental attacks, and their defense against such abilities was ordinary.

However, over the years, dwarves had compensated for this shortcoming with various equipment. For example, the battle armor Rodir Yan wore had activated its resistance program the moment it suffered a mental shock, allowing the wearer to mitigate most of the mental damage.

Soon, Rodir Yan stabilized his body, while Ana, who had intended to launch a follow-up attack, paused and scanned her feet, legs, and lower back with her mental energy before looking at her opponent.

"This is entrenchment," the peak expert dwarf coughed lightly to relieve some discomfort in his body; the damage caused by the giant palm wasn't easy to endure.

"A fascinating ability," Ana remarked, visibly feeling restricted in her movements. She tried to break free but found herself unable to do so.

"There's no way; you are too fast." Rodir Yan's battle armor began to glow, and the light quickly condensed on the metal staff, forming a brilliant sphere of light that slowly floated toward Ana.

The entire space created by the great void capture technique began to tremble violently.

"I underestimated you—two pieces of divine level equipment." Ana swung her arms dramatically; due to her speed, it could only be seen in brief pauses, creating the illusion that she suddenly had many more arms.

As Rodir Yan's starlight sphere approached, the tremors intensified.

Rudir Yan stood still; he was currently in a weakened state. The generation and operation of the starlight sphere consumed most of his energy, and the entrenchment ability keeping Ana from moving also continued to drain his energy.

But he felt that this time, he would win.
