Chapter 2667: Battle of Divine Artisan City (Seventeen) ⚔️

The camera pulls back.

If we could encompass the entire Survivor Fortress where Divine Artisan City is located, we would see that the fortress is not in a relatively static state like other fortresses during the live broadcast. Instead, there are signs of large-scale military gatherings in many places.

In a manor less than a thousand kilometers from Divine Artisan City, a man stands in front of a light barrier, watching the nine faces displayed on it, his expression grave.

"What have you all considered?"

The man's gaze swept over the people.

The person in the middle of the first row of the nine-grid light barrier spoke up, "We indeed rely on the Tarros Red Dwarf for our livelihood. Especially in the last century, every aspect of our Taros Star Clan has been deeply entangled with them. It’s not easy to separate ourselves."

"But, from another perspective, we are to some extent controlled by the Tarros Red Dwarfs. We have lost a lot, including but not limited to trade rights and defense rights. What I see now is an opportunity—an opportunity to break free from possibly becoming complete vassals of others in the future. Therefore, we Taros Star Clan will choose to stand by this time."

"If the Tarros Red Dwarfs win in this war, then we will willingly become vassals with no autonomy. If they lose, then I believe we will welcome a new development opportunity."

After saying these somewhat forceful words, he looked at the others and said, "Your situations may be similar to mine, or perhaps a bit better, but believe me, if the Tarros Red Dwarfs win and continue to rule this Survivor Fortress, what I said will eventually become a reality."

"So, pray, pray that they will lose."

With that, he leaned back against the chair behind him, crossing his arms and coldly laughing at the others.

Hearing him express his views so directly, the remaining people had varied reactions: some frowned, some pondered, some nodded, and some looked bewildered...

The man standing in front of the light barrier said coldly, "Setting aside whether what you told us is true or not, does the status of the Tarros Red Dwarfs among the All Races of the Universe really require such 'careful' treatment of you? Am I mistaken? Is the Taros Star Clan a big clan?"

"Are you, a medium-sized race, worthy of having so many rights encroached upon by them? What benefits do they gain from occupying those rights? Fine, let's take a step back—if the current situation among the All Races of the Universe is one of four quadrants, if you weren't here in this Survivor Fortress, wouldn't you face these problems elsewhere? I see that in other places, you might not be living better than now!"

The person who previously opposed suddenly stood up and was about to say something when he was interrupted by the man.

"You only talk about the bad things and the unfair treatment. Why don't you mention the good things? How many weapons and equipment has your clan obtained recently? How many clansmen have had the opportunity to study in Divine Artisan City? And what investments have you received from the Tarros Red Dwarfs in your small territory? Why don't you mention these?"

"You ungrateful scoundrel!"

By the end, the man was almost reprimanding them.

"You’re talking nonsense!" The leader of the Taros Star Clan stood up in the light barrier and shouted, "Do the weapons and equipment come free? Also, why did they give before but not now? Isn’t it because someone cracked their technology and they want to increase market saturation? As for studying? You should look into your conscience and ask yourself, how many of those who went to study will come back to their clan? And those who don’t come back, how much value can they create for the clan? Most of them have become complete vassals of Divine Artisan City’s first floor! And investments? They were forced to invest, even if I didn’t accept it, they would still come. But how much return do they get from that little investment? Do you want me to break it down for you?"
