Red Boy shrank his body and hid behind Ye Zhongming, his pair of Longan eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
Ye Zhongming sighed in resignation, thinking to himself that among the Rebel Dragon Race he had collected, except for Aunt Chao Yang, everyone seemed a bit mentally unstable.
You are a Dragon Race member, yet you are even more timid than a human? When you were on your territory before, werenât you quite bold and impressive?
After deciding to go back, Ye Zhongming had planned to let Aunt Chao Yang give Red Boy a good âtrainingâ. He then glanced around at the environment.
The first impression was that it was hot; hot enough to be burning.
The habitat of the fire elemental dragon in the Fragment Star Belt was already very high in temperature, but here it was even hotter, a temperature that would not be so comfortable even for a fire elemental dragon.
Just like how fire elemental dragons could dive into flames without any issues, it didnât mean they enjoyed staying there.
Underfoot was a warm clay-like substance. Ye Zhongming wasnât sure what it was at first, but when he stepped on it, some lava unexpectedly bubbled up.
Ye Zhongming quickly jumped to a nearby spot that looked harder. Red Boy looked down at his enormous claws, then at his surroundings, and gave up on the idea of following him.
Once he steadied himself, Ye Zhongming took another look. The ground was covered with this lava-like mud, with occasional collapsed peaks and hills scattered around.
The sky was filled with gray clouds, and while there was wind, what caught one's eye were the flames that burned continuously and moved like stars.
The light they emitted was the main source of brightness in this seemingly dead space.
Another source was the towering giant peak in the distance, which was still flowing with crimson lava and emitting thick gray smoke!
Ye Zhongming frowned; the temperature and smell here were very uncomfortable. Was this a testing space?
It didnât seem very⌠advanced.
âUm, boss, what should we do?â Red Boy called Ye Zhongming boss with permission, as it was somewhat difficult for him to call him master in front of so many big shots of the Dragon Race⌠after all, the big shots had their own dignity.
âCanât you see?â Ye Zhongming replied irritably.
In any case, Red Boy was a powerful being with a strength above fuleira. Normally, Ye Zhongming should treat him with respect, considering his decent strength and backing from the Dragon Race, as well as ties to Xuanyan.
But Ye Zhongming was really a bit fed up with Red Boyâs blindness.
With such a clear path laid out before him, how could he ask what to do? The way ahead was already pointed outâit was to follow this path towards the distant giant peak; surely, something awaited there.
Ye Zhongming didnât want to talk to Red Boy anymore and threw him⌠never mind, the earth yellow pill wasnât here.
The color of the path was actually quite similar to the surroundings, but in the eyes of such experts as them, it was already very, very obvious.
Ye Zhongming took the lead and walked on it. It was indeed much harder than the surroundings.
Red Boy wanted to fly, but after thinking for a moment, he decided against it and followed closely behind Ye Zhongming.
As Ye Zhongming walked towards the giant peak in the distance, he observed the surroundings. Although it was desolate and broken, with each step he took, he felt that discomfort grew heavier.
After walking for a while, he stopped.
Turning back, he instructed Red Boy to lie down on the ground, and he sat on his back.
It was cooler there compared to the ground.
Ye Zhongming took out some materials from his space equipment and began to create equipment.
The space here was very special; it surprisingly did not prohibit the entry of other spatial equipment.
Ye Zhongming was refining equipment that could counter the temperature.
The air here smelled foul and was toxic, but it didnât have too much effect on Ye Zhongming for now; he could just hold his breath. With Ye Zhongming's current level, it was no problem to hold his breath for half a day.
