Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 2469: Legacy (Part 2) 📜

The surrounding energy surged to a certain extent, all concentrated into a glowing orb. The person’s body tilted slightly, and then he hurled the orb into the distance.

His movement was not large, but the glowing orb was thrown far and high, until it was just a small dot in the sky, and then… it suddenly exploded.

The light was blinding; even though Ye Zhongming was only in someone else's mental world, he was dazzled to the point of seeing everything in a white haze.

When the brightness of the light dimmed a little, Ye Zhongming's heart was shaken immensely.

In the sky, it seemed as if the glowing orb had ruptured a piece of emptiness, and a crack appeared in the originally dim sky.

Ye Zhongming didn’t know how that happened nor why a place almost devoid of any atmosphere would crack open!

In his confusion, Ye Zhongming thought that things would end there, but the dissipating light suddenly brightened again, transforming into a pillar of light that slammed down to the ground.

It was like a nuclear explosion; there was no massive mushroom cloud, but there was a strong shockwave, and the dust kicked up by the energy rushed outwards, sweeping across possibly tens of thousands of miles, reaching the eyes of two people.

But conveniently, everything stopped right in front of them.

It was evident that this person's control over power had reached a shocking level; in this regard, Ye Zhongming was far inferior.

That person looked back at Ye Zhongming as if asking, "Did you understand?"

Ye Zhongming, having no physical form, could not respond and merely watched.

The person turned away, standing quietly until all the dust settled. Ye Zhongming saw that a vast, deep pit had formed there.

At least at his current realm, he could not comprehend the immense power required to create such a planetary collision-like effect.

After a moment, that person raised one hand again, aiming at the sky. The energy patterns around and within him reappeared, but this time there was a significant difference from before; no glowing orb appeared in his hand. Instead, some shiny black objects resembling chips materialized intermittently, giving an incredibly mysterious feel.

Sometimes, these shiny black chips formed a large sword, sometimes a war knife, and at other times they became half a longbow or even a giant hammer.

In short, these chips seemed capable of forming anything, with the only difference being the subtle changes in the energy pathways around and within him.

Finally, these chips formed a… pen.

Ye Zhongming didn’t understand; pens, in the martial arts novels from the national zone before, were indeed considered a type of weapon and occasionally appeared on the roulette. However, this thing had an inherent flaw—aside from utilizing its special function, few people used it as a primary weapon.

This person held the pen and began to draw on the ground. After a while, he lifted his head to look at Ye Zhongming, not saying a word, but gently flicking his finger, sending a burst of energy into the drawing on the ground.

Then, pure, bright points of light, as clear as water, rose from it.

Those luminescent energies floated slowly, ultimately forming…

When Ye Zhongming saw it, he almost shouted.

He recognized it and confirmed without a doubt that it was an elemental spirit! It should also be a mature elemental spirit!

However, he didn’t know what type of element that spirit belonged to.

That person extended his hand, and the elemental spirit landed on his palm, rubbing against him affectionately, then fluttered into the air, looking around with a dissatisfied expression.

The little creature looked up and spat toward the sky; the originally white little thing ascended into the air. But when it reached about a hundred meters high, it suddenly exploded, transforming into a ball of energy roughly the size of a basketball, which then began to glow and radiate heat, illuminating a vast area.

The dim environment became as bright as a normal planet.
