“In this sudden group hunt, the individual with the most points is…”

A series of names followed, along with their respective races.

“In this sudden group hunt, the race with the most points is…”

Again, a list of several race names appeared.

When Ye Zhongming saw these two options, he admired the dark forces even more. They must possess significant authority in the Myriad Clans Assembly, or it would be impossible to gather such detailed data in such a short time.

For others, this was just a betting option, but for Ye Zhongming, it was crucial.

He quickly reviewed the races associated with these names, and four of them caught his attention. One of them, the “Soft Resonance People,” should be the Hall People, a major ethnic group that had always been a backbone over there.

It made sense that their people were here to monitor Liang Chuyin and her group, and having only two individuals here aligned with the suspicion of surveillance.

The other three groups had four, six, and ten members, respectively. The group with four members was called “Slaijetan,” the race that Ye Zhongming had just identified as having lured the prey.

As for the remaining two races, Ye Zhongming only had a vague impression of their names from the introduction of the All Races of the Universe. He basically knew nothing about them.

However, Ye Zhongming was certain that while watching the livestream, he had noticed brief contact between them and the Slaijetan people.

It seemed familiar, as if they were communicating with gestures or secret codes that implied mutual understanding. This was not the kind of interaction one would expect from unfamiliar races deciding to communicate on a whim.

After marking these points, Ye Zhongming directly chose to place his bets on his own people in these two real-time betting situations.

………………

“Gao Yi, can you hold on?” Liang Chuyin looked back and saw that their prey numbered over twenty, all stronger ones from the group. Although a single fuleira might not stand tall, together, they were terrifying.

Liang Chuyin was worried that Gao Yi might not be able to withstand them.

Gao Yi quickly recalled the feeling after their brief contact and said, “If I use my skills, it shouldn’t be a problem. Miss Luo Luo, please keep an eye on me; that would ensure everything is foolproof.”

Ye Zhongming was very pleased with Gao Yi referring to Luo Luo as Miss Luo Luo and cast him an approving glance. This young man has potential.

“Alright, when I give the signal, let’s take care of these.” After saying that, Liang Chuyin gestured to several novice members of other races nearby, signaling them to get ready for action.

Liang Chuyin and her group did not hold high hopes for these temporary allies. For them, this brief cooperation was merely a joint hunt, and they would accept any point bonuses, but how much help these individuals could provide was not on Liang Chuyin’s mind. In fact, they were somewhat wary of them.

As Liang Chuyin signaled, Gao Yi suddenly turned around. His massive shield first knocked the nearest prey away, then he steadied himself, the shield shimmering faintly as several indistinct figures appeared around Gao Yi, forming a barrier against the oncoming mutated lifeforms.

Booming sounds echoed as Gao Yi retreated in an orderly manner according to plan, absorbing the impact while leaving enough strategic space to increase the margin for error during their counterattack.

Liang Chuyin and Ye Zhongming continued to harass the prey, their ball-embroidered bands and various vines stirring chaos among the group, creating numerous kill opportunities for Xia Bai.

The black scythe melded with Xia Bai, and under the flickering black light, the prey could hardly withstand it. Once touched, they were bound to be severed, and if unlucky, a hit to the head would be fatal.

This was still under circumstances where Xia Bai hadn’t even used her abilities.

Her inherently powerful and enigmatic self-evolution granted Xia Bai strength that few could match. Since Ye Zhongming had little time to converse with her, they hadn’t discussed much in detail, but as a top expert, Ye Zhongming sensed a hint of danger from the completely unguarded Xia Bai, whose aura was fully exposed.
