Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 2393: Imprint (Part 1) ✨

Ye Zhongming and Yao Han Su exchanged a glance, filled with both confusion and suspicion.

"We can't get in touch anymore," said the boss of the Su Clan, confirming their suspicions.

"This kid can't really be that stubborn, can he?"

This thought crossed Bei Yin's mind but remained unspoken. He was a bit incredulous at first, but the more he considered it, the more plausible it became.

When they met, he had nearly figured out Ye Zhongming's personality; he was like a spring—easy to persuade and coax, but if you pressured him, he would bounce back fiercely.

The Tarros Red Dwarf initially appointed Ye Zhongming as an agent but later abandoned him and even sent people to hunt him down after ascending to the heavens. That grudge, Ye Zhongming probably held it close to his heart.

Adding to that, the dwarves demanded a thorough investigation into Zimu's death, with Ye Zhongming being one of the attackers, putting the two sides at odds again.

However, both big shots thought that Ye Zhongming's mad manufacturing of equipment had already avenged them by causing significant losses to the dwarves, but now it seemed far from enough.

The message Ye Zhongming had sent earlier, asking them to buy time, proved that this intense explosion, even if not directly caused by him, was still closely related to him.

To dare to do such a thing in Divine Artisan City showed immense courage, but now the city had been sealed off, and if caught...

Bei Yin and Yao Han Su's gazes fell on the Reaper of Restraint.

They wouldn't expect them to use this to save someone right away, would they?

……………………

On the spacious thoroughfare, a vehicle was speeding along, and the silhouette of the spaceport was becoming clearly visible in the distance.

Inside the vehicle were Ye Zhongming and his two companions. Although they could quickly leave Divine Artisan City through the Dark Points they had prepared, they still needed to pass through the spaceport to exit this Survivor Fortress.

Right now, they could only hope that the Tarros Red Dwarves were concentrating their efforts within Divine Artisan City and had not issued orders to close all spaceports within their sphere of influence.

"My name is Zike. I've heard Zizikaba speak about you before. It's really exciting to meet you for the first time," Zike introduced himself, clearly interested in Ye Zhongming.

Zizikaba tossed his space equipment to Ye Zhongming, prompting Zike to do the same.

"We don’t need these materials. Take them with you; I hope they help your plans. Once we arrive at the spaceport, we'll split up. Zike and I will head back first. If anything comes up, we’ll stay in touch like before."

Though they were escaping, Zizikaba thought it best to remain cautious. After all, they had just pulled a fast one on the Tarros Red Dwarves and killed a powerful dwarf master. Given the dwarves' character, they certainly wouldn't let it go easily. If nothing turned up in Divine Artisan City, they would surely widen their search. If the three of them stayed together, it would make it easier for them to be found among countless clues.

Ye Zhongming nodded and put away the space equipment after receiving it.

At this moment, the vehicle arrived at the spaceport. The three quickly separated after getting off, each boarding a different flying device. Of course, they all used false identities, and their destinations were not their ultimate goals. Instead, after a couple of detours and switching identities again, they returned to their respective Survivor Fortresses.

………………

As soon as Ye Zhongming returned, he sensed a different atmosphere.

The red dress guard seemed unaffected, but the Assault Camp was a bit downcast.

Ye Zhongming called for Ouchong and Shiyong, inquiring about the situation.

Shiyong lowered his head and said, "There are two matters. The first is that after you left, the Star Eye Clan confirmed a new target for recruitment, the Scarta Star People. They acted quickly; many deals were made through communication. They sold off five streets in one go, including seventeen of our shops."
