Ye Zhongming stood outside the warehouse, observing the scenery, completely unconcerned about the battle happening inside.
In fact, just as he had anticipated, about ten minutes later, the people from the Assault Camp began to emerge one by one.
They looked somewhat worse for wear, with many supporting each other; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to walk at all. However, some others simply appeared to be drenched in sweat, with occasional bruises on their faces and bodies, but in good condition.
Ouchong and Shiyong walked up to Ye Zhongming together, grinning, and said, “Lord Ling, we completed the task!”
Ye Zhongming nodded.
With a hundred people against nearly a thousand, the numerical difference was about eight or nine times, yet they managed to win, which seemed miraculous, but it was actually not surprising at all.
Firstly, the people from the Assault Camp had an element of surprise; they hadn’t entered earlier but had stayed outside the warehouse, rushing in only after receiving the command, catching those inside off guard.
However, for those inside, the ones standing at the warehouse door were unprepared, while the others had ample time to prepare for battle.
Secondly, there was a disparity in equipment.
When the Assault Camp entered, they were fully equipped. During the nearly ten days since Ye Zhongming returned, aside from practicing himself, he focused on manufacturing equipment. This not only allowed him to familiarize himself with and continue researching the technology of the Tarros Red Dwarf but also to update the equipment for the Assault Camp.
Due to material and skill limitations, the number of pieces of equipment Ye Zhongming could manufacture that reached the crimson condensation level was not many, but he managed to produce two or three items every day. After about ten days, he had over twenty pieces, setting aside some as rewards for the upcoming Bronze Camp exam, while the remaining seven or eight pieces were distributed to the core members of the Assault Camp and those who performed well in recent tasks.
Let’s not forget that, aside from the crimson condensation level, Ye Zhongming had even more pieces at the kegang level. These were items he attempted to manufacture to reach the crimson condensation level but fell short. With his manufacturing speed, he had accumulated around two hundred of these over the past few days, half of which were saved for exam rewards, while the other half was similarly distributed to the Assault Camp.
As for the failed attempts, aside from a very few that were unusable, the rest could still reach the common level, replacing the members of the Assault Camp's previous equipment which was even below that standard.
In other words, the Assault Camp members were now all well-equipped, with the worst being common-level gear, and every person had at least one kegang level item, while the core members even wore crimson condensation level equipment!
Though they didn’t use weapons, the advantages from the differences in other equipment were already substantial.
Lastly, and perhaps the biggest difference between the two sides was their strength.
If this had been two months ago, even with good equipment, these members would never have been able to match the reserve team who outnumbered them by several times. After all, these individuals had character flaws—whether they were rebellious, arrogant, or extreme—but their strength was still there and was above the warriors in the Assault Camp previously.
But now, things were different. Over the past two months, the warriors of the Assault Camp had first followed Ye Zhongming to learn abilities like the eye of layers, then got to know each other, formed formations, and even ambushed a transport team, tasting blood, which greatly enhanced their strength and aura. They even achieved good results in their confrontations with the entire Bronze Camp, which psychologically gave them an advantage.
The most significant improvement occurred during the days Ye Zhongming was back.
