Chapter 1923: Rewards (Three) 🎁

"The remaining forty percent of the profits will belong to the race that opens the beginner hunting grounds, which means it will belong to the first-place team overall."

Ye Zhongming looked at Commander Cheng Liujin and thought this was quite good. If the Star-Eye Clan opened this planet hunting ground, then aside from the forty percent he could take, they would also gain quite a bit from the twenty percent public profit. Combined, it would bring them close to forty-five percent, even if it couldn't reach fifty percent.

Why did it seem that this commander still looked troubled?

Commander Cheng Liujin could tell what Ye Zhongming was thinking just by looking at him, and sighed, "Things aren't that simple."

"First of all, opening this planetary battlefield requires enormous costs. For example, you can't just have a small spacecraft with a few people, right? Even if you don't die up there, how much can you kill in a year? Even for a super big clan, they would basically organize a fleet to transport a batch of powerful warriors and experts to establish a base there, using that as a center to continually expand their hunting in the surrounding areas."

Ye Zhongming had some understanding of the Star-Eye Clan's situation. He knew that the power source for things like spacecraft was Moon Age Gold. If the Star-Eye Clan opened the planet hunting ground, they would inevitably have to transport a large number of warriors to the planet. Just this cost alone was likely something the Star-Eye Clan could not afford.

"Then there's the issue of rotation," Ye Zhongming thought of this.

Commander Cheng Liujin nodded appreciatively, feeling satisfied with the new player's ability to think about problems with such depth and extension.

"Exactly, you can't have a wave of warriors stay up there for an entire cosmic year, right? From the perspective of training, the psychology of the warriors, or the fairness within the clan, battlefield rotations must occur. Each transport incurs enormous costs, and the final profits are only settled after the planetary battlefield is closed, so you can't just rely on fighting to sustain fighting."

Facing all these issues, not to mention Commander Cheng Liujin, who had a deep and clear understanding of the clan's situation, even Ye Zhongming, who wasn't too familiar with it, could sense the crumbling situation the Star-Eye Clan was facing.

"Once the planetary battlefield is opened, you can't just go alone, right? That would be like challenging a powerful presence on an entire planet by yourself. Even super big clans wouldn't do that; they would bring in other races from their camp, let alone us."

"But once you allow other races to come in, how will the profits be divided? Two-fifths go to the public, one-fifth has to be set aside for rewards, and two-fifths go to the one who opened the battlefield. Then what do the others come for? To work for you for free? So, while it seems like you can keep forty percent, it's actually impossible to take that much."

Ye Zhongming thought for a moment and understood.

Opening the planetary battlefield did not specify profits for other participating races; in the end, the benefits had to be uniformly distributed. This meant either the first-place race had to do it themselves, or they would need to bring in other races and then share the benefits with them.

The choice was actually quite obvious. Going it alone wouldn't work among the All Races of the Universe.

However, once other races were brought in, the distribution had to be based on contribution, and there were no recording devices to ensure absolute fairness. It would only be relatively fair. If it was a super big clan, that wouldn't be a problem; their prestige and strength were evident, and they would definitely take the larger share. The rest could tolerate minor discrepancies in distribution and find opportunities to compensate later.

But for the Star-Eye Clan, it wasn't feasible. They were simply too weak; bringing in other races would mostly let others reap the benefits while they were left with only the scraps. If things went poorly, they might even face annihilation, resulting in massive costs to open the battlefield while the forty percent benefit was taken by others, leaving them with just a small portion from the twenty percent. No matter how one looked at it, this was inappropriate.
