Ye Zhongming was completely puzzled by this. What was the planet hunting grounds?

Commander Cheng Liujin pointed outside and said softly, “Actually, this used to be a planet hunting ground.”

Ye Zhongming's expression shifted from confusion to seriousness.

“Generally speaking, or rather, throughout past novice battlefields, the probability of unexpected events occurring in the individual rankings, particularly for the top novice position, is still quite significant.”

Perhaps feeling thirsty from his words, Cheng Liujin stood up, went to the door, and called for someone to bring two cups of wine. After receiving them, he personally handed one cup to Ye Zhongming.

Although the King of Cloud Summit didn’t feel particularly surprised, he still had a good impression of Cheng Liujin's gesture.

After sitting back down, Commander Huang Jin continued, “As for the overall top score, it has basically been maintained by a few super clans and some second-tier clans. I believe you can understand that even if the people sent by those large clans are not exceptionally gifted, their overall quality is still significantly stronger than that of other races. Moreover, they understand cooperation better and have access to more information, and even… know a little bit about advantageous things in advance, so it’s no surprise they occupy the first place.”

“Basically, they monopolize it. In the last hundred cosmic years, there have only been two incidents of unexpected events, and the most recent one seems to have occurred around fifty years ago.”

Cheng Liujin drank slowly, sipping bit by bit, but the frequency was fast, almost every time he spoke a sentence, he would take a small sip. The way he raised and lowered his cup was incredibly smooth and fluid, not affecting his speech at all.

To Ye Zhongming, this already had a certain aesthetic appeal.

“Speaking of which, I need to tell you another concept.”

Cheng Liujin looked around as if there was nothing else, then directly pinched off a corner of the stone table beside him, breaking it into seven pieces of various sizes.

After arranging these stones on the remaining table surface, he pointed at each stone while speaking to Ye Zhongming, “You see, these seven represent the Survivor Fortresses. Their approximate distance ratio is like this.”

Ye Zhongming leaned in to take a look and nodded.

Subsequently, Cheng Liujin used his finger to draw lines between these fortresses, then brought his hands together, gesturing in a certain area.

“This area is referred to by the All Races of the Universe as the public star field, which is the star field between the seven fortresses.”

Cheng Liujin removed the seven Survivor Fortresses and outlined a rough shape of this star field using the stones.

“This area looks small, but it’s actually quite large. There are numerous planets within this area.”

“Some of them are not suitable for the emergence of intelligent life, but there are many mines or plants that everyone needs, hence they are called resource planets. There are also some planets with life, some without advanced life, and others that once had advanced life.”

Ye Zhongming listened quietly.

“Resource planets are not worth mentioning. Even if the materials there are good, only the large clans' spacecraft will regularly fly over to harvest. Small clans face two issues: they are powerless against the covert rules, and the costs are not something just anyone can afford. If needed, they simply purchase what they require.”

“Among the remaining planets with life, those without advanced life might be selected by some large clans based on better locations, meaning they would not temporarily leave the public star field even if there were recent changes among the slave clans. They treat these as 'farming planets' and engage in agriculture and animal husbandry there.”

Ye Zhongming nodded, knowing that this type of farming and husbandry was not what Earth referred to with crops and poultry, but truly cultivating precious plants, parasites, and mutated life forms.
