Chapter
“Pei Cun?”
Pao Bai raised his eyebrows upon seeing the defiant-looking man.
As the fifth heir of Shuo Star, he was a well-known figure at Survivor Fortress No. 3, responsible for many of Shuo Star's trade affairs. Although he had gained a substantial reputation, Pao Bai did not expect to encounter him here.
He was someone Pao Bai had never interacted with before. The silver commander was undoubtedly a prominent figure among the Star-Eye Clan, revered by thousands, and due to his status, his fame resonated far and wide.
However, to many major clans, he was merely a small ant, distinguished from other ants only by the fact that this particular ant had a name.
Pei Cun, the fifth heir of the Giant Star People, had previously seemed to regard Pao Bai with some importance when speaking to his friends, but in reality, he only valued the current event and the benefits that came with gaining a top rank, not a known but insignificant ant from the Star-Eye Clan.
Even now, this small ant had six helpers by his side.
As for those newcomers... did they even count as people?
A member of the Lutheran Clan stepped forward, thinking he must know Pei Cun or have met him at some point. After considering, he took two steps forward and said, “Respected…”
Before he could finish, Pei Cun suddenly threw all the small stones in his hand toward him. Dozens of tiny stones shot through the air like bullets.
The Lutheran was surprised but did not panic; instead, he formed a circle with his hands, summoning a gentle force in front of him.
The warriors who made it to the newbie battlefield were all quite capable.
However, he still underestimated the strength of a high-ranking heir from a super clan. Even these seemingly random stones caused him to fumble; the airflow he believed could withstand the attack only managed to delay the assault slightly before being breached, and the stones collided with his body.
He staggered backward until he stopped at his group’s camp, his armor now riddled with cracks, with some stones embedded in it!
Though the armor was not of the purple grade, its defensive capability was still decent, yet it could not withstand a casual throw from Pei Cun!
The Lutheran who had attempted to speak was utterly taken aback by the fifth heir of the Giant Star People’s blatant disregard; he turned beet red, unsure if he was shamed or injured.
The message was clear: they were not friends, but enemies.
“Even with the expanded gloves and the big push, it’s nothing more than this.”
Pao Bai suddenly spoke up, his words laced with tension.
Pei Cun's eyes widened slightly, surprised by Pao Bai’s response.
He had intended to show a bit of authority, hidden beneath small actions, but did not expect to be seen through.
“Not bad.” Pei Cun commented appreciatively, then added, “Unfortunately, you can only get this far today; the only pillar of the Star-Eye Clan is about to fall.”
“Big words.”
Pao Bai retorted with a cold smile, his gaze scanning the area, feeling a surge of excitement.
“Thinking of going over?” Pei Cun chuckled at Pao Bai's demeanor, then said, “To find your good friend Jie Su? To rely on the Su Clan's energy array to hold on until the newbie battlefield ends and then reap the rewards?”
“Good idea, and you have a friend willing to help, but it’s a shame; you won’t succeed.” Pei Cun looked at Pao Bai, “You can’t get past me.”
“There are seven of us.”
The Lutheran who had been attacked was evidently furious and couldn’t help but retort.
What he said was true; there were seven mature warriors on Pao Bai's side, while there were only two opposing them. Out in the open, they might not match the high-ranking heir of a super clan, but here, they were all equal with two thousand fuleira energy, and numbers would be a decisive factor.
As for Ye Zhongming and the other newbies, he completely disregarded them.
Pei Cun smiled dismissively, proudly declaring, “Even if it were just Jing Wu Nan and me, you still wouldn’t get past.”
