Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 1874: Heavenly Descent (Part 2) 🌌

On the largest flying ships outside Novice Planet, the light barrier displayed the same scene: a small conference room filled with several virtual figures.

“Is the information accurate?” A voice asked in a muffled tone.

As the leader of the Su Clan, they were quite behind in cosmic monitoring, their strengths lying in construction and defense arrays.

“Are we going to deceive you?” A woman replied with some impatience.

Logically, this should be a meeting among the highest echelons of the All Races of the Universe, and such a tone should not be used.

However, the Lena People and Hall People were too powerful in their alliance, accustomed to being domineering, reflecting their mutual strength.

If it weren’t for the recent two outbreaks from the Slave Clan, one involving mass reproduction and another a wave of nutrients, destabilizing All Races of the Universe, they wouldn’t be holding this meeting.

“Then we should plan early.” The leader of the Su Clan seemed completely unfazed by the attitude of this important figure from Lena Planet, simply nodding as he spoke.

Meanwhile, a burly red-bearded dwarf glanced disdainfully at the leader of the Su Clan, harboring deep-seated contempt for him.

The representatives from the two major alliances participating in this meeting were not the supreme rulers of Lena Planet and Hall Planet, meaning they were not the true decision-makers of the two alliances. In contrast, the Su Clan and Tarros Red Dwarf had their highest leaders present.

Even though there was a significant power disparity between them, this situation was quite disrespectful, and he would not be as accommodating as the Su Clan.

The person sitting in front of them was not the Empress of Lena Planet; what difference would it make if he spoke back?

“What’s the distance?” Someone from the Su Clan asked again.

“If the direction doesn’t change, it will reach the closest point in six cosmic days,” a high-ranking member of the Hall People said.

“Six days...” Everyone contemplated this timeframe.

“It’s time to make a decision.” The Lena woman clapped her hands, struggling to adapt to the tone of inquiry.

When had the Lena People ever needed to consult others before making a decision? Even the Hall People were indifferent.

But now things were different; a few days ago, the collective pressure from All Races of the Universe made their supreme rulers realize that treating these races like boiling frogs in warm water was fine until the changes became too rapid, leading to the fiercest resistance.

Clearly, this was not a moment for suppression or cleanup.

“The situation has already been explained to everyone. A Slave Clan is moving towards Novice Planet. We don’t yet know if it’s just passing through, but we can’t take the risk.”

The woman’s attitude became markedly calmer as she said this.

Yes, no one dared to take that gamble.

Up to now, even with the help of the roulette, All Races of the Universe had never personally killed any Slave Clan. They could only wander endlessly through the universe like lost dogs.

Against the Slave Clan, they could neither win in battle nor flee, as many of their equipment and even the energy of the Survivor Fortress depended on the Slave Clan.

Now that a Slave Clan was approaching, although Novice Planet had already been ‘ravaged’ by them, due to the investment from All Races of the Universe during the final stages, there was still a lot of life on the planet, including a massive number of parasites.

If this Slave Clan suddenly decided to snatch a snack, the possibility was not negligible.

The life of a planet did not concern All Races of the Universe, but with so many parasites still on it, that was a significant amount of Moon Age Gold—too wasteful to just abandon.

Moreover, the new recruits on the planet, while not exactly the hope of All Races of the Universe, included over half of the excellent younger generations; once trapped, the loss would be even greater.

“Then let’s evacuate.” A high-ranking member of the Hall People raised his hands, advocating for a comprehensive withdrawal plan. Since no one dared to take the risk, it was best to leave and distance themselves from that Slave Clan to ensure absolute safety.
