Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 1805: First Experience (Part Two) 🌟

With a loud bang, the attack that the person had mentioned did not immediately begin; instead, the new recruits here were thrown into chaos.

Some looked around in confusion, unsure of what to do, while others suddenly ran toward the tents. Some gathered near larger life forms, and a few entered combat mode, their bodies undergoing changes with waves of energy surging out. Even a few suspected Yangos from the Dragon Race spread their wings and flew into the air in an instant...

"What should we do?" Jie Kui said with a furrowed brow.

Shikangbu and Bularno exchanged glances but did not move.

They had originally planned to leave immediately after the novice battlefield began, but the newly announced regulations made them hesitate.

Perhaps it was best for the four of them to stick together?

Suddenly, a lot of information surged through the recording devices they had set up, which seemed invisible to the eye. The most notable was a list of images depicting mutated life forms and parasites.

"Just stay alive; we can wait for the official start tomorrow," Zizikaba said before flying backwards.

At the same time, the main gate of the novice camp, which had been closed, suddenly swung open. Even in several directions, the metal walls showed breaches, and dark shadows surged in from outside.

The new recruits closest to the breaches were immediately attacked!

"Black Baku, it's a Black Baku!"

"Bi Ka No. 17 parasite... Puffer Beast?"

"Watch out on the ground; something's there!"

"Enzheng Star People, above your heads, block them!"

"%#%@&()&&&……¥"

At first, the new recruits shouted in coded language, but later they resorted to their incomprehensible native tongue.

Ye Zhongming did not answer Jie Kui but kept scanning back and forth between the mutated life forms and parasites that had rushed into the camp.

A few seconds later, he identified a target and growled a command before rushing forward.

Jie Kui hesitated for a moment but quickly followed, while Shikangbu and Bularno took a bit longer to decide but eventually followed suit.

However, they were visibly displeased with Ye Zhongming's unilateral action without prior discussion.

Ye Zhongming's target was a moderately sized parasite documented in the Star Eye Clan’s database, known as the stinger bug, which was a parasite of Dog Alpha No. 7.

Each discovered Remnant Race was given a name by the All Races of the Universe for reference, and its parasites were numbered for record-keeping. In cases of overlapping species, the first one discovered was used for naming.

The stinger bug is one of the few parasite types without any particularly strong physical advantages. Their characteristics include being numerous and having sharp teeth; wherever they roam in groups, nothing grows.

Today's attack was a man-made arrangement, so it was impossible to release so many of these creatures.

Ye Zhongming targeted a few scattered stinger bugs and quickly approached, his newest model of a mimetic weapon glowing in his hand, which he launched directly.

The entire novice camp was in chaos, with fighting happening everywhere, and Ye Zhongming's actions did not attract much attention.

The spear-shaped mimetic weapon sailed through the air and pierced the body of a stinger bug. However, it was a bit too far, and this hit did not strike a vital area. The bug let out a series of frantic sounds, and Ye Zhongming quickly struck it in the relatively soft area under its jaw, killing it instantly.

Seeing Ye Zhongming complete the kill, the other three warriors of the Star Eye Clan didn’t think much of it. After all, the stinger bugs posed no threat to them, who were already ninth-level beings. They merely looked at Ye Zhongming, who remained still after the kill, puzzled about what he was doing.

This state of confusion soon ended, and Ye Zhongming began to move again, forcing the other three to follow.

However, his movements were quite erratic, zigzagging from side to side without any apparent direction. He even paused in front of the corpses of some mutated life forms or parasites to scavenge, causing many of the other novices nearby to show disdain.
