The spaceship hovered in the sky for a while before slowly entering a descending passage. Through the porthole, Ye Zhongming saw that it was a path of light.
Waking up in the Dimensional Tunnel was not a pleasant experience. Ye Zhongming initially thought he was in a small space, but the scenery around confirmed that he was actually in a corner of the universe. He just didn't know how far he was from the previous Survivor Five Fortress.
He closed his eyes and adjusted himself, feeling his bodily functions gradually recovering. Ye Zhongming was quite satisfied with his body.
"Drink this, we still have over an hour before we reach the base," Aslan said, taking out several bottles of potions and handing them to Ye Zhongming and the other three. They should be for restoring physical condition. The others accepted and drank them, but Ye Zhongming put his in the space backpack he received from the Star-Eye Clan.
"The Dimensional Tunnel is not friendly to life, you’d better not rely too much on your body's recovery ability," Aslan kindly advised when she saw Ye Zhongming not drinking but instead keeping it. She had much more experience in this regard than Ye Zhongming, who knew nothing about it.
However, she was not aware of Ye Zhongming's situation. He just waved his hand to indicate it was fine. The female birdman could only shake her head helplessly.
At this moment, she had no authority over this person. Among the other three, Jie Kui seemed to want to say something but hesitated, appearing to want to persuade Ye Zhongming. However, upon seeing Ye Zhongming's attitude, he said nothing. The other two wore cold smiles, clearly thinking this guy was putting on an act.
"Why does it take so long? The planet in the novice battlefield can’t be that far from us, right?" Bularno frowned and looked outside.
He and Shikangbu both had tall and slender bodies, with long tails that were usually wrapped around their waists and not very noticeable. The most striking feature about them was their eyes; their pupils seemed to change at any moment, constantly cycling between vertical and round shapes.
Aslan's expression shifted slightly at Bularno's words, unsure whether it was intentional or not, but there was a hint of impatience and... complaint in her tone.
"Our Star-Eye Clan has a low status; we will enter at the back. This planet has very powerful life forms. If we get too close, we could be attacked while in the outer sky, making it difficult to dodge. We can only use the Lena People’s light-blocking tunnel."
Bularno said nothing more and returned to his cabin to rest. Shikangbu, on the other hand, found a place to sit quietly, closing his eyes and remaining silent.
Ye Zhongming shrugged, not surprised by this situation.
After all, these people were not natives of the Star-Eye Clan. Perhaps in the future, they could somehow be infused with some miraculous power through bloodlines and gain recognition and inheritance, but that was obviously not possible now.
Low recognition could not be compensated for by mere favors and polite requests.
Ultimately, they were just the lackeys of the larger clans; the only difference was that the big families ordered their lackeys around, while the smaller clans treated them warmly.
However, many Star-Eye Clan members seemed unaware of the predicament of their race, as evidenced by the Masked Man who casually killed the nurtured trash earlier. They harbored discrimination against these warriors in their hearts.
Now that they had low recognition, it seemed there was not much to criticize.
Even Ye Zhongming himself, despite Jikesu showing great sincerity, deep down believed he was still the King of Cloud Summit and still the Earthling Ye Zhongming.
Perhaps even the weakest of the All Races of the Universe would not want a new race to join their ranks and take a share of the pie.
While waiting, Ye Zhongming stood in front of the porthole. Aslan accompanied him for a while before starting to explain which spaceship belonged to which race and what their situations were like. Soon, Jie Kui came over to listen as well; this information was very useful, even Shikangbu opened his eyes and perked up to learn.
