Chapter 1603: Sea Kun 🐬

Published: February 12, 2025

The ice surface suddenly exploded, almost without any warning.

The first position to erupt was not the mottled crusaders that Ye Zhongming and Jannadrah had anticipated would be the easiest to deal with, but rather the Alamos Camp.

It was unclear whether these gene entities had some special attraction to the life forms in the sea.

The scene was extremely shocking, as if the entire ocean surface had suddenly been turned over. Large cracks appeared on the ice, which then exploded, rushing towards the human evolvers.

From the perspective of humanity, it seemed like a massive tidal wave made of ice blocks.

Behind the ice, there followed true giant waves. Further back was an even larger shadow, as if it were going to block out the sun.

"Sea Kun!"

A person shouted sharply; it was unclear how he knew the name of such a life form.

Upon hearing these two words, Ye Zhongming's heart sank.

Anything associated with the word 'Kun' was a giant life form, and this was no exception.

Ye Zhongming couldn't see the level of this life form yet, but just from the size of the shadow emerging from the sea, he knew this was at least an eighth-level creature!

The higher the evolution level of the sea kun, the larger its body.

It was easy to imagine the kind of effect that such a body could cause, without even mentioning other abilities.

Moreover, this kind of life form had an excellent affinity for water; it could control the seawater to some extent. Just look at the waves behind the ice blocks, which were clearly a result of its control. Otherwise, it wouldn't have produced such an effect.

It wasn't until the ice blocks and waves started to descend that the people from other directions finally saw the general appearance of the sea kun.

If it had to be described, it was as though the head of a shark and the tail of a whale were combined.

The difference was that both the head and tail were magnified countless times and became incredibly fierce.

With such a life form attacking, even Cloud Summit might find it challenging.

Yet Alamos showed no signs of panic at all; he simply waved his arm, as if greeting someone.

However, with his gesture, hundreds of gene entities, each over two meters tall with broad, sharp heads, emerged from the chaotic ranks behind him.

As soon as they appeared, they puffed out their chests, and the muscles there writhed for a moment before parting to reveal a fiery red crystal inside.

In the next moment, these crystals emitted energy beams of the same color, launching toward the 'giant ice wave and seawater wave' and the sea kun that were crashing towards them.

Both sides moved at incredible speeds, and a collision quickly ensued.

However, keen-eyed high-level evolvers like Ye Zhongming and Ruan Xiao noticed that the energy beams actually stopped before hitting the ice blocks, quietly dispersing at the front, transforming into weak fiery red light points.

These light points floated in the air, quickly connecting to form a not-so-conspicuous energy shield.

When the ice blocks attacked, this energy shield suddenly brightened, blocking the towering three-layer waves.

Both sides engaged in a chilling struggle in the air!

These hundreds of gene entities continued to fire energy beams, rendering the sea kun's seemingly inevitable attack futile.

After the ice blocks and seawater collided, its massive tail struck the energy shield, producing a tremendous sound, and over fifty gene entities exploded on impact, turning into piles of flesh.

Alamos didn’t even blink; he waved his hand again, and over a hundred more gene entities appeared. This time, they were quite small, resembling dwarfs, but their speed was astonishing.

In just a few seconds, they burst out of the sea kun's attack range, curling their bodies into meatballs, quickly rolling on the ice surface, going faster and faster, until at a certain moment, they suddenly sprang up, charging toward the sea kun's body that was descending into the seawater like cannonballs.

The explosion was heard when these creatures collided with the massive tail of the sea kun, accompanied by a long, mournful cry from the depths of the sea.
