Old Dad would not forget these two words, nor would he forget the scene that followed.

He could not imagine that a team of evolvers, having no more than a thousand members, would actually shout about slaughtering a city in front of a mature base protected by tall city walls, with the number of evolvers exceeding ten thousand.

He felt grateful for this team, even though today's encounter was caused by them directly approaching him, they sacrificed two of their own to provide cover for him and others to retreat.

Old Dad understood that he was not irreplaceable; he was also aware that those young people could have easily just taken him and fled, leaving the others in his team to fend for themselves. He understood this, which is why he felt gratitude.

The more he thought about it, the less he wanted to see these comrades lose their heads in anger and do something beyond their capabilities.

Perhaps, this group was indeed powerful; they really could kill all the people from the Blood Nest, but how many lives would be lost in the process?

Was it really worth losing more people to avenge the two that had died?

Old Dad wanted to raise this question with the young leader, but seeing the resolve on his calm face, he knew that any persuasion would be futile.

There was something else that surprised him; as a leader, perhaps Mr. Ye had to take responsibility for his subordinates and had no choice but to make such a decision. But what about his subordinates? Why didn’t they try to dissuade him? After all, it was they who charged into battle; did they willingly risk death for a meaningless fight?

At least, in Old Dad’s view, this fight held no meaning.

In the more than five years of living in the apocalypse, he had already learned not to engage in conflicts born from temper.

However, after the words “slaughter the city” left the young man’s mouth, the scene that unfolded left him completely dumbfounded.

The first to strike were the female warriors wrapped in thick animal skins.

Old Dad had always found it strange that most of this team consisted of female warriors. He could sense a strong aura from these women, but they all seemed somewhat frail, as if just recovering from severe injuries.

He didn't expect that once these women entered combat mode, they would immediately reveal a terrifying side, collectively and orderly drawing their swords. Afterward, the blade light shone into the body of the foremost female warrior, who then wielded the long, giant sickle glowing with black light.

A brilliant flash of light swept through the ranks of the ice bear knights. Including the seven-star knight captain, all of those evolvers only slightly moved before being caught in the light, and then everything seemed to freeze.

In the eyes of both Old Dad and Ivan on the city walls, they saw a scene that terrified them.

The bodies of more than two hundred knights were all cut in half!

These corpses slid down slowly before falling to the ground; it only took a few seconds, but for someone seeing such a scene for the first time, it felt like a century.

What kind of attack was this? Why was it so powerful? With one strike, hundreds of people just died like that?!

Old Dad's hands trembled violently, yet he was completely unaware.

The ice bears, sensing their owner's death, lost control completely. Some charged straight ahead, toward Cloud Summit, while others rushed to the sides.

There were still other evolvers from the Blood Nest who hadn't reacted yet.

Chaos erupted beneath the city walls.

“Kill them!”

Someone shouted in the Youth Army, and those young people who had been holding their breath charged into the enemy ranks like raging bulls.

Those not in their position couldn’t understand the bond and friendship cultivated among these youths who lived and died together every day at this stage.

Each one was a brother or sister, a comrade; losing even one would pierce their hearts with pain.

They were not universal good-hearted people; they were simply selfish evolvers. They wouldn’t consider the feelings of others, only their own emotions.
