Old Father occasionally turned back to look behind, but the figures of his teammates had long disappeared.
He was extremely unwilling to part with his squad, and he had tried to resist before, but he was firmly rejected by the young man carrying him.
Old Father knew that if he insisted on his own opinion, he would probably end up being knocked unconscious.
So he honestly lay on the back of this evolver, trying to lighten his body as much as possible.
However, the shadow formed in Old Father's heart over the years due to the ice bear knights made him worry about the safety of his own people.
He could not deny that these four young men were quite powerful, but now only three had returned.
Those ice bear knights, once mobilized, numbered at least fifty; judging by the sounds earlier, there must have been around a hundred.
Three people, how could they possibly stop them!
Once these young men failed to hold them off, what would happen to his children… Just thinking about this made Old Father's heart ache.
"Xiao Liu?"
A voice made Old Father turn back, and he saw a ten-man squad appear ahead, roughly the same age as those young men.
Just from the speed they were rushing over, Old Father was astonished to find that these young men were very strong, possibly even stronger than him.
He couldn’t help but feel puzzled; how could this group of young men be so formidable at such a young age?
"Da Zhen, you came at the right time!" Xiao Liu, the young man carrying Old Father, exclaimed in surprise, pulling Old Father from his back to the front and pushing him to a companion.
"This is someone the boss wants. Send two people to take him over, and then inform everyone that Xuan's squad is trapped and needs support; the situation is critical! Da Zhen, you come with me to assist Xuan's squad!"
Xiao Liu said decisively, dragging Da Zhen away. Upon hearing that Xiao Xuan was trapped and the situation was dire, everyone felt a sense of urgency.
Da Zhen immediately ordered the two who had taken Old Father to hasten back and notify the others, while he took out a strange whistle and began to blow it, the notes intermittent and varying.
Along with Xiao Liu, nine young men sprinted back the way they came.
On the other side, Xiao Xuan and his companions were already entrenched in a bitter struggle.
The ice bear knights, who had originally split up, had regrouped. At this point, their numbers had dwindled to just over sixty, with more than thirty corpses scattered across the icefield, marking the paths of pursuit and escape.
The three young men were already covered in injuries, their protective gear rendered ineffective. The weapon in the hands of the six-star evolver had even been destroyed due to frequent collisions, leaving him with only a dagger.
The colorful sorceress was injured in her leg by a remote throwing skill from an ice bear knight and couldn't move quickly, forced to be dragged along by her companions step by step.
However, the ice bear knights capitalized on this flaw, continually charging forward. Each time, although they might lose one or two knights, they would leave deep wounds on these young men.
They had killed many of their own, but at this point, they had turned bloodthirsty, determined to eliminate these three visibly exhausted youth from the country.
If they didn't return with three corpses, they would have to face the wrath of their leader, Ivan, who would burn them alive.
Only the blue equipment on these young men could spare them from punishment.
Another wave of attacks came; those wielding white or silver weapons, and occasionally a green lance, were no match for the war knife in Xiao Xuan's hands and would be severed easily.
But he was alone and had to protect his companions, so he could only expend energy sparingly, knocking away these weapons to shield himself and his two companions from assault.
Yet, Xiao Xuan knew he wouldn't be able to hold on much longer.
All his skills were on cooldown, his protective gear was broken, the effect of his bloodline had worn off, and his stamina and mental energy were both on the brink of collapse...
