The densely packed spherical body made of monsters suddenly emitted a tremendous light.
Even under the morning sun, these red rays were incredibly dazzling, making the world lose its color.
After the light came the flames.
Li Qiang and the others, who were retreating from the ruins, witnessed this scene for the first time in reality—the horrific sight of human bodies being instantly turned to ashes.
Previously, they had only experienced such visual shocks in movies or animated through computer effects, but now, this kind of footage was happening right in front of their eyes. It made them forget the fear of death, staring intently to see what was happening.

Those second-level mutated lives were even more restless, retreating quickly and creating distance between themselves and Ye Zhongming. They were genuinely afraid; their intelligence allowed them to sense the terror of this killing god much more than their lower-level counterparts.
For a moment, the entire battlefield seemed to freeze in a bizarre stillness.
What Ye Zhongming had just used was the radiant seal blade master's combined career skill: Seal: Flame Blade.
Unlike when he was a one-star evolver, he had just unleashed this skill three times almost simultaneously in three different directions.
Two-star evolution provided a comprehensive enhancement to the human body. The appearance of career skills required survivors to have a profession, but the power of these skills was closely related to the user's abilities.
When Ye Zhongming was at one star, he could use a maximum of two fully combined career skills, which could still drain his mental energy, but their power was considerable and traceable.
