Chapter Text:
"It's been a long time since I've exploded; let's have an outburst today. Everyone knows Old Phantom types slowly, so let's just do it as before: write as much as I can. At least four chapters, and this is the first one."
Alamos said nothing, opting to respond with an attack instead.
If it were someone else, he could appeal to emotions or interests to see if they could reach an agreement, but facing Li Daqian, that was obviously not an option.
So it would have to come down to life and death.
The pain sorcerer was a supportive profession, but as an eight-star evolver and the boss of a top laboratory, Alamos would never place all his hopes on having warriors in front of him during a battle.
He had his own combat style.
Alamos decided to take the initiative.
He pulled out a model from his spatial storage and threw it down between him and the father-son duo of Li Daqian and Li Zhi Chong.
It was a model resembling a prison. After landing, it grew to about one meter high.
Then, the iron-barred door of the model opened, and a non-ranked zombie dog leaped out, baring its teeth and emitting a threatening low growl at Li Daqian and his son.
Next came the second, third, and within three to four seconds, there were already ten medium-sized dogs, each around one meter tall.
Li Daqian didn’t attack immediately. No matter how tough he spoke, he was still quite wary of Alamos. He had chosen not to confront him directly while observing the way he fought as his subordinates fell one by one.
However, the sudden emergence of so many summoned creatures made him even more cautious, especially since Alamos hadn't done this before.
To Li Daqian's surprise, this summoning was not the end. Alamos threw out another object: a dark, cave-like portal. After it landed, it expanded even more than the prison-like model, reaching nearly three meters in height before it stopped.
From within, a massive black energy troll began to emerge.
Following it was a soil troll, and behind that, a corrupted troll with its body stitched together.
Once the three trolls appeared, they were far more impressive than the ten smaller zombie dogs. Although they weren't wielding weapons, their massive size and the surging energy emanating from them made them appear much more dangerous.
Li Daqian's eyes began to turn red, his body grew robust, and his fingernails elongated into sharp claws. The equipment on him glowed faintly, and the metal armor stretched to cover him completely.
The boss of the Ten Thousand Beast Manor was not Qin Ru; his strongest ability was, of course, battle beast summoning, but even without them, his strength was formidable.
He was currently utilizing the primary bear bloodline, a continuous bloodline that enhanced various physical capabilities at the cost of agility.
His gear had been specially purchased from Cloud Summit, consisting of five pieces of green armor with excellent abilities, supplemented by two blue pieces he had acquired himself, providing him solid defense.
The combination of an attack-type bloodline with superior defensive gear, along with his eight-star evolver level, granted Li Daqian impressive combat prowess.
Next to him, Li Zhi Chong also activated his bloodline; his was far superior to his father's— the demon bloodline, which had already upgraded to intermediate.
Li Zhi Chong had a level six battle beast, which was decent in the Ten Thousand Beast Manor, but compared to several of his uncles who possessed level seven battle beasts, he fell short. Li Daqian, even more so, owned a separate level eight battle beast.
In this respect, he didn’t match up, but Li Daqian wouldn’t shortchange his son either. He was quite "biased" in other areas, as Li Zhi Chong's bloodline was not only excellent but had also leveled up.
The demon bloodline was a transformation-type explosive bloodline that could greatly enhance physical stats and had peculiar and powerful abilities, changing attacks into energy strikes.
The demon bloodline also combined both ranged and close combat skills.
