Ye Zhongming picked up Jin Zhongyuan's shield, feeling that it was a good item. The image of the door god on it was already shattered, and the equipment wasn't emanating any light, clearly in a damaged state. He stored it away and checked the body that had turned into a pool of blood and flesh. The spatial equipment had been destroyed, and it seemed there was nothing to be gained.
After waiting for a while and realizing he hadn't been expelled from the space, Ye Zhongming guessed that things had completely spiraled out of control here, and the rules from before had vanished. He thought for a moment and found that he really had no options and could only passively stay here.
Although Ye Zhongming didn't have as strong a desire for control as Wen Yan, the feeling of just waiting was indeed not pleasant.
However, he didn't have to wait long before a new member appeared in the space.

Like Ye Zhongming, Qin Ru also welcomed a new opponent.
During the previous battle with Wen Yan, Qin Ru had almost failed.
He didn't expect that old man to have such formidable combat power; his carefully nurtured little Luo Zhen was hardly his opponent. If it weren’t for the spatial movement that expelled him, the outcome would have been dire.
Recovering from the petrified state, Qin Ru checked little Luo Zhen's injuries. Fortunately, they weren't serious. He took out some deep red pills, about the size of sugar oranges, for his beloved battle beast to consume, his eyes filled with tenderness.
He indeed treated this unexpectedly acquired humanoid life as a form of attachment. Little Luo Zhen carried the essence of his son.
It was this creature that had devoured his son.
Qin Ru did not choose to kill it for revenge but opted instead to transform it into his battle pet, treating it as a continuation of his son’s existence in this world.
This was a pathological attachment, and Qin Ru was well aware of it, but he didn't care. Aside from being unable to speak and having some behavior that differed from humans, little Luo Zhen was no different from his son now, even more obedient.
After consuming two of those pills, a flush appeared on little Luo Zhen's bluish face. It opened its mouth filled with sharp teeth and bit down on Qin Ru's arm, greedily drinking the blood of the eight-star evolver.
As the blood flowed into its body, little Luo Zhen's injuries healed rapidly, soon returning to its original state, even the damaged equipment it wore was restored.
“Have you seen enough?”
Qin Ru stood up, his face somewhat pale.
Just like what Wen Yan had observed, he had invested almost everything he obtained into arming little Luo Zhen. Aside from a few pieces of equipment with a maximum grade of green, he had only upgraded one skill, the Diamondization technique, to a higher level and had no bloodline or anything like that.
But Qin Ru did have a profession; he wasn't a main combat profession but an auxiliary one—Medicinal Beastmaster.
This was a peculiar profession where almost all skills used his physical strength and energy as nourishment, combined with some unique herbs to concoct pills and potions. Then, he would use his blood essence to nourish the mutated life forms he needed to raise, allowing them to gain abilities and special effects.
“A very peculiar profession, a very… strange idea.”
Jannadrah said slowly.
After entering this space, he observed Qin Ru and little Luo Zhen quietly.
“This space seems to move at any time; perhaps we can wait for a next opponent that is somewhat easier.”
Qin Ru stood up, placing his right hand on little Luo Zhen's head, which was at elbow height, affectionately rubbing it.
He might have a twisted mindset, raising a monster as if it were his son. But he wasn't foolish; he understood the situation well. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to sustain Reborn Mount Hua, nor would he have evolved to his current level.
Qin Ru was clear that he and little Luo Zhen were not in the best state right now, and this person across from him, even though he didn't leave a deep impression, could be a tough opponent despite not attacking after entering.
