The earth sand moon blade was pulled out from the monster's neck, and its massive body crashed to the ground after losing its life.
Ye Zhongming had broken through an entire block.
Sitting on the monster's corpse, Ye Zhongming panted slightly. It was manageable for the first half of the street since there weren't too many monsters, but in the latter half, the number of monsters surged. Even though he could continuously execute one-hit kills, he found it increasingly challenging to cope.
Ye Zhongming wasn't sure how a nine-star evolver would handle such a situation, but beneath the nine stars, many evolvers were understandably afraid of being surrounded. After all, even evolvers had limited stamina and mental strength, and it was impossible for them to keep track of everything around them. The abilities and skills of other evolvers or mutated beings constantly emerged, meaning that even the most powerful evolver would inevitably overlook something.
This was why Ye Zhongming, a 'monster' in his own right, could maintain an edge. His mental strength was immense; even after consuming a lot, it still surpassed many fellow evolvers at the same level. With ample stamina and luxurious equipment, he managed to achieve victory even amidst the assault of so many monsters.
However, Ye Zhongming was still human, not a god. After the intense battle, he had not only exhausted himself but also sustained injuries.
During the final wave of monsters, one creature the size of a teddy bear hid among the group. Ye Zhongming didn't notice it and was bitten on the calf. Although it didn't have the strength to breach Ye Zhongming's defenses, it clung tightly to him, greatly hindering his movements.
Ye Zhongming only took a moment to deal with it, and this little guy disrupted his battle rhythm. After being struck in the back by another monster, he was unable to withstand the massive force and was sent flying, spitting out blood as cracks appeared in his Stellar Battle Armor.
Fortunately, this allowed Ye Zhongming to break free from the encirclement. After a brief adjustment, he charged back in and completely resolved the problem.
Since the Star Spirit had expired, and although there was still some Stardust Sand left, it was limited. Ye Zhongming contemplated and decided against repairing his battle armor.
He feared he wouldn’t have time to travel to West Asia. Once the battle in Royal City erupted, he would be unable to escape. At a critical moment, Stardust Sand could be a lifesaver.
Taking out the engraved plate to check the completion rate, Ye Zhongming frowned, expecting good news.
The completion rate of the three-man team had progressed rapidly due to their separate operations. However, strangely, the progress on the wasteland side was also swift, and the gap between the two sides not only failed to close but even widened.
This was not something Ye Zhongming wanted to see. The reward here was solely the Soren Magic Box, the last and most crucial item in his entire reward chain. If he couldn't acquire it, the value of all previous rewards would plummet.
Ye Zhongming couldn’t guess how the wasteland managed to achieve such speed. He had initially estimated that they would definitely surpass them!
Unavoidably, Ye Zhongming felt a slight regret for having helped the five rings society in the Hundred Caves Marsh. He had previously scouted this area but hadn't anticipated that the wasteland would explode with such terrifying strength after he entered.
Even separating into different battles couldn’t keep up with the other side’s speed?
Ye Zhongming sighed softly, realizing he needed to come up with a plan to deal with this.
He sprinkled some Nourishing Life Soil on the ground, then took out carnivorous plant seeds and activated these level-five mutated lifeforms.
Due to their special nature, carnivorous plants couldn’t be taken out of certain spaces, so Ye Zhongming would avoid using them as much as possible since both Nourishing Life Soil and carnivorous plant seeds were not infinite.
